well, i like the fights and the actions. Also the art is somewhat original. But it bores me to death anytime they are not fighting.
Worth reading but don't expect too much

I love this manwha. The lines are just short but you wouldn't really miss them. The characters themselves deliver the excitement, Its a wonder how they manage to survive each or their fights. .There's nothing deep here, the plot is nothing special either and the artwork is just good enough but believe me guys this is action-packed, very engaging and the pacing is fast enough. You wont get bored by this, its so hard to put down.

Uh...what!?!?! Yeah, that is my question to all who have said this manga is good. Being a huge Claymore and Berserk fan, I went into this manga hoping that it would have some dark themes and well a damn good story lines. Unlike many of my female contemporaries, I don't need sexy bishie to make my world go round. All I need is plot, which is sadly something this story is lacking. Okay maybe I'm being unfair. I mean I've only read till volume 5. Then again, no. I am being more then fair and actually I read further then I should have had to to determine whether this manga was worthy. A good manga should capture you no later than volume three and this manga fails to deliver. Like someone else pointed out, there are definitely a lot of fight scenes, but what good are fight scenes when it's messy and indescernable? Kind of defeats the point. Oh and the art is what One piece and Shaman Kings bastard progeny would look like if these two series were crossed, only shoddier. The only good point I see to this manga is, well, I don't see a good point. The mangaka seemed like he had a good idea but just doesn't know how to deliver it. If you're looking for something to bore you to tears, this manga is it. Out of ten Ares gets a 3 for effort, and I'm being generous.

Art sucks a lot, otherwise this would be one of my fav manhwas..

What a pity ... one of the best current manhwa is not currently available for sale ! Watch out for fights depicted : they 're REALLY awesome! And do no expect the usual stuff about love , friendship etc... even if it's shonen , you must be aware that the 3 friends are cold blood killers and that they can carry out some very cruel tricks to win.

- Priest
- Threads of Time
-and Ares
(forget Island this a bragging and overrated crap )

- fantastic character design : this spidery drawing is quite unique and depicts perfectly the youngness of the protagonists. It can easily turns you away if you lack of mind openness but it kicks ass! it fits the manhwa in the same way than the style of Priest fits this tough and hard story of curse and farwest.
- the BEST fights you can see in shonen : very imaginative and not encroached by some stupid ultimate technique (who said naruto...) : they don't talk they FIGHT ! and i never see a fight which reminds me a previous one .
If you like Mugen style in Cowboy Bebop you'll love Ares and Cygnus way of fighting.
- a developping plot : on the beginning it clearly was not the main asset of the manga but now many blackholes around characters have appeared arousing some interrogation .
It's a bit in the wake of Berserk golden age band of the hawk and its brotherhood with the upcoming of the breakup of the two main character .
- interesting character especially Micheal , a twisted bastard and yet one of the closest friend of the hero . They're all loosely based on mythological characters and they gain some depth from it .
- To wrap up all those thing the global feeling is very surprising for a shonen : some things which are depicted in the manhwa are clearly NOT the kind of things you'll expect . The heroes are cold blood killers and yet children , the sourness and biterness of their aging opponent is easily perceived . This mix between cruelty and innocence is astonishing.

i like this a lot, but i don't like ariadne or michael all that much... love almost everyone else though... especially ares's master. very cool. can't wait to read more

terrific manga, I love when kids fight and especially when they are extremely cool

Judging from 2 volumes worth of reading, it's only a decent manga. The art kinda blows. But the fights are kind of cool once you get into them a bit...

But the poor art brings it down a couple of notches.

edit: After reading it a bit further I must say that it's better than I thought initially. Takes a while to get into it but after 12 volumes it's pretty good.

Don't see how anyone could rate it a 10 though. 10 should be reserved for the legendary mangas... This ain't one of them.

i've only read the first two volumes so far but im hooked. try reading, you'll like it too.

just read up to ch 80 and its pretty awesome.

HOW THE **** CAN THIS HAVE A LOW RATING? aside from the art, its still well done and how can you guys give it a 7 or an 8?
