It's a pretty frustrating manga tbh

I mean I dont know if I could recommend this in good conscience. But I mean it's okay. But other manga do the cliches/tropes in this manga better. The story at times loses focus. The characters are a mess to say the least and the action of the lead with another character make zero sense going by what he does

At first i thought i'll just read this manga to kill time, but the next thing i know i was so hooked on the story, my feeling became 'I want to read it'...though i still think for their age, the characters look tiny and cute, should be more mature looking haha

Spoiler (mouse over to view)
Man chapter two marriage was so funny! When he kiss her she was like "what the..."

It's always "u disobey me I'll throw you into the sea" funny indeed ^^

In the next world we'll be together, hahaha what te heck! Chapter 13

Chapter 19 oh she doesn't want it(kissing only) to stop, now she like it ei~ with shuichirou~

This is really a comical manga, most of the time I'm laughing

Sumi is a really strong woman, after all the scolding from her dear husband, she takes it as it is, and somehow manage to think of other people's feelings first rather than herself, and feel sad for other people == wah, is there any human being like that...

Man this Nozomu guy is really obsessed with Sumi, it scares me~ How he trembles while taking up the onigiri made by sumi that was thrown into the dustbin oh my gosh...chapter 27 yer obsessed obsessed chapter 29 naked painting kiss yikes

So funny Komai was at Sumi's place when he decided to leave master haha c28

Whenever Nozomu touch Sumi I'm like what the h*ll...

Wao this girl' strong man! Even helping her husband get back his title woohoo~! Chapter 50

Dude this Nozomu guy is getting scary and scarier due to his one sided love~ ugh~

Blood related siblings?!! Huh, of course they were, knew it from the time he said you look like my mother...

Huh, Souichirou didn't get on the ship, no way~...huhuh I knew it~~~~

Dang the whole story was cute~

And about Komai-san going to work for Nozomu, why did he do that? Betray Souichiro? Or just in need of a job?

I've only read to chapter 10 but I feel like I can't continue, how can the male protagonist do what he does?!

Seeing him forcing his wife to leave whilst the children were running along behind crying made me feel teary, and what's with the female protagonist smiling just two seconds later thanking the guy?!

Makes me feel like kicking him.

I feel sick

Like, literally sick! To think this manga started out with such potential (yes, Soichorou was the world's biggest jerk, but that added suspense, and when he slowly started softening up, well it was unrealistic but cute to watch)
But omg... just with all the corny-ness and the (180 degrees!) twists, this was just so bad so bad that i feel kinda sick from reading it now. What a horrible rushed ending too...
It's like, in the beginning the mangaka started out with a particular story/characters then forgot what they were about... and later on, with the new version forgot again... then again... and again!

I've just given it a 4 because of it's strong beginning and then some cute Souichorou parts -_-

STRESSFUL

The manga was very interesting at first. However, it suddenly sky-rocketed to the peak and continued on with stressful twists. I find it difficult to finish as I had to take deep breaths and balance my state of mind to its original state before continuing my read. I could have flipped a table if I didn't. However, I did enjoy gazing upon the Mangaka's beautiful art. As expected from Ueda Rinko. If there was less stress thrown into my face, I would have loved it more.

Not bad

I thought this manga was alright. Not my favourite and I probably won't read it again but I don't regret reading it. It was a soft, powerful romance. I thought some things were pretty predictable but I did get surprised at certain times so it kept me entertained. The art is absolutely beautiful. I'm giving it a 7/10 because in my opinion, it lacked something... like a deep connection or something out of the ordinary to occur?

Unrealistic but worth reading anyways

Maybe I've grown out of the shoujo genre. All I know is that I only just managed to sit through this one.
Good things:
1. The art is nice. Not bad, not awesome, but good.
2. The plotline actually wasn't easily predictable. Well, maybe only unpredictable for me. The male leads at the beginning really threw me off balance.
3.
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
She didn't actually go for the first guy shown in the manga. That would be her brother(non-biological). Then she met Nozumo. THEN Shoichiro.
It was pleasantly unpredictable.
4. I've never read a manga with a plot like this, with such a tangled web of arranged marriage and poverty. That was actually quite interesting.

Bothersome things
1. A bunch of the character have severe panic attacks at super simple things. In fact, they just completely flip their lids and lose themselves for the dumbest reasons. It's very very unrealistic.
2. Every once in a while, a scene pops up that is a big wtf moment. For example, the female lead hits someone after he kisses her when she was entirely prepared for it and they were surrounded by a bunch of important people expecting them to act normally. If any real life human lost control of their reactions like that so easily, there would be pandemonium.

Anyways, I read this cause it was so weird. Even though I gave it a 6.9(which is very low for my ratings), I can't even say it's not worth reading. It's absurd, but it's fun? Take a go at it. Why not?

A really good read

While there are some people who think that the plot is a bit cliche, the mangaka has stated in the beginning that she wrote this series as a formulaic story, which means that the characters are predictable. Surprisingly, the plot itself is not that predictable and it moves at a fast-paced, so there's no endless drag. Personally, I find this series amazing because the mangaka actually develop in-depth characters such as Nozomu and Soichiro. As you read on, you will discover that people whom you thought were good may not be as good as you think. The art itself is gorgeous, and you can really see the improvement from volume 1 to the current chapter. Since I love this series, of course I'm biased; however, I truly recommend this series to those who have yet to read the arrange marriage genre and those who want to read a story that will make you wonder what happen next and make you re-read it over and over again. And of course, those who just like Shoujo manga in general.

I just can't read any more. The main girl, sumi, is just too annoying. I think her personality is exaggerated and I agree Joziess for the most part. If the manga was a short manga and ran for maybe 2-3 volumes, then I would finish it. However, it is ongoing and has 5 volumes already so I don't really want to spend the time on it. I won't rate it though because I have only read one volume.

Edit: I decided to start volume 2 and I haven't been able to stop reading it. So far, the story is okay and is getting more interesting. I think you have to be in the right mood to read this manga. I guess right now, I feel that it is okay.
