When i saw that "dominant Female Lead" tag i decide to read this manhwa but one comment catch my eye saying that fl getting submissive farther chapters i got curious and googled it, its have some affectionate scenes some have dominant like aura but don't think fl fully dominant she is more like assertive type flirty girl not so dominant and because ml in experienced of love its have like assertive scenes, i think story not so bad its mostly about overcoming the traumas i usually don't like kdrama type of dram romance sometimes there are exceptions, but this comic don't affect me comedy scenes wasn't funny childhood friend character nah -_- ahh.... in conclusion i was excited to see some dominant Female vampire but i got empty handed ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Gets better (YMMV)

At the beginning the premise is funny, but honestly I couldn't bring myself to like Sia for the first half. She was shallow, thoughtless and downright cruel to Jiho. Baryu's facade and ramen hair was really annoying. Her family was so blind in their ways they didn't see the outcome of their actions. Sihwan was always great and I wish there was more of him.

There was a lot of unnecessary lies and a lot of things seemed to be done carelessly just as a plot device - like his OCD. Jiho was introduced as someone incredibly OCD and mysophobic, yet he didn't really behave like it. People with that developed condition would never go to a place like a bookstore, much less without gloves. All that obsessive hand washing should have also left some marks. Of course, if he was wearing gloves, she'd have never gotten taste of his energy by that accidental touch early on etc...and there would be no story. So as I say, plot devices, not entirely thought out.

If you are looking for an accurate portrayal of OCD and mysophobia, you won't find it here. But. If you can look past that and what awful things Sia does to him to "cure him" by force, eventually you'll find a nice, heartwrenching romance and great character development (easier to do when some of the characters start as low as they did). There is still a lot of unnecessary drama in the k-drama style, but in the end, it wraps out very well. I think it does send out some interesting messages about our society and (forbidden) love in general. I really liked the interview by Jiho at the end too.

I've got to say, as a romance I enjoyed this title and would recommend it. That said, as you can see, I only rated it as 7 out of 10.........I personally thought the author went too far and tried to force too many additional elements into what already had more than enough to support the classic "forbidden love" story.

Obviously I don't want to spoil anyone, but it's probably pretty obvious from the synopsis you've already got to read where the divergent elements come in.........yes, we've got the "forbidden love" angle, but we've specifically got the vampire elements, and yeah, that's where I thought the author tried too hard to write both a romance story and a vampire story, and almost mucked up what I think should be seen as the true core of the overall title.

So yeah, I'd definitely recommend it as a romance story, but I'd say you might want to tune out some of what I thought was "extra" stuff that started trying to cloud the issue during the last quarter or so of the story (like I did biggrin ).

It´s quite a great serie. I just love reading it, enjoyed very much.
But for me, the only sad side, was how the end it's really rush some how.
I mean, the end was good indeed, but, the author kind of miss some explanation at some point.
All the serie turned out to be good for me but the final get me frustrated.

An Interesting Take on a Popular Theme
by blackluna

Rating: 9.0  / 10.0
In the past few years (I guess ten or so), the theme of supernatural creatures subsisting on humans as prey falling in love with one has become oddly popular; whilst many of these are mere "sun-tan trash," there are some gems about that theme written. unTOUCHable is of the latter group. The plot is interesting and lacks dependence on melodrama or coincidences. There is definitely character growth in both leads, mostly of the over-coming the past variety, though also of the sympathetic or emotional variety, which is portrayed throughout the work. While some parts seem to drag a little, and I couldn't find anything comic in the work outside of a few very brief awkward moments (not exactly the best use of comedy), unTOUCHable is overall a well-composed and well-crafted work. Few of the characters are flushed out, but all of the characters which are focused on are given good depth. The art is beautiful and fitting. Although some people have complained about the ending, the ending is fitting for both the leads and the primary antagonist, who gets a healthy dose of poetic justice without the knowledge which prevents the story from being tragic, leaving the slight open-endedness of it for some of the characters only slightly disappointing. The slight flaws aside, unTOUCHable ultimately conveys some import about "skinship," communication, and boundaries, resulting in a brief read that is well worth the few hours it requires to read it.

I liked how in the earlier chapters Sia was strong and dominant, but throughout the story,
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
Especially in the chapter 40s
she becomes a little submissive... I would've given this story a 10 if not for the later chapters...
UPDATE:
This is one of the manga where the female lead starts strong and ends weak... I give this a 5... T-T

I surprised myself with how much I liked this one and I'm also surprised at the rating...
Soooo... This story has really nice art, the shading and background etc. is all done quite nicely.
The characters are a lot of fun! Sia is a funny character but also kind, energetic and determined. She isn't fickle even when she has troubles with other guys liking her, she is set on Chicken (Jiho). On the topic of Chicken, he also turns more and more likeable, there is character development for both of them and their relationship is really nice, even without words you can tell that they're sincere towards each other and treasure/like each other for all of who they are. Right now you can say that Sia has a 'secret' and so I'm looking forward to how the reveal goes. I'm expecting it to go somewhat like Baryu and his human friend's did. The plot and pace is good as well! All development is gradual. So overall a really enjoyable read! It's got interesting characters and an interesting setting ! Only complaint is Baryu's hair... The drawings of him before getting a perm looked much nicer and I also found him a bit annoying at some points. Otherwise, a 10.

i don't love all manhwas but the ones i like includes this

I really like this one it's a different take on the whole expectation of a vampire. It's kinda refreshing in the sense that vampires don't actually have to suck blood .Besides the whole suck your blood your now you're tied to me or you die or you forget me or you turn to a vampire is played out anyways. But it's leaves you wanting to know why is is so bad for a human and a vampire to love, being that in a lot of other works that i have read there have been cases of human and vampire love, marriage, even child birth. Some say vampire cannot make kids at all. Some say with human it's possible for a vampire to have kids. Then in some there are cases of childbirth between vampires. But so far it seems that it is frowned upon by vampires to love you food i guess ( you know the chicken). Can't wait for more love between SIA AND JIHO Chicken and what happens after hope for happy ending ... And yeah i know it's not real, just like different twists that are found in verious works.

True to its art style

I found that this webtoon really stay true to its art style and summary. That being said, if you found the cover pretty and the summary interesting, go ahead and read it. You'll most likely like/love it. For those who don't... just said that this story didn't go above the premise that already given from its summary and cover.

The only actual problem with this webtoon is how little the substance in each chapter is. As a comparison, 42 chapter of this webtoon could probably only fill 1-2 episodes of your average korean drama, or only 1/2 episode of the more packed episode (e.g: episode 1 of doctor stranger, which so packed I started to wonder how the scriptwriter going to fill the rest 19 episodes). And I found Sia Lee to be cruel, to intentionally made another person attached to her when she didn't even think of him in equal standing, simply to get a more 'delicious' meal. But since we all know this is a webtoon, she will ended up loving the 'chicken' and taking into account that she's vampire, It's fine, I guess?

My sole reason to continue reading this is probably Jiho Shin, whom could be rude but still likable.
