well its not story driven, and the romance part is about an awkward couple
but its one of the few manga that show the modern internet driven life/romance
and social media (although I'm an asocial type)
the positive part is the main characters they are not the typical male females type

after reading the description, I assumed this would be romance aimed at young adults or older teens but this manga is nothing of the sort. The 1st chapter is good, but it gets terrible after that. The mangaka does not have the ability to write at all. The story and misunderstandings are immature and flat out dumb. The couple doen't get along, not even a little bit. theres not one moment where they say one kind word to each other and they spend all their time either fighting or broken up while pretending to be online investagators at the same time. I do t even know how to describe this, but do yourself a favor and dont pick this one up...
I HATE SLICE OF LIFE!

Who would have thought that a slice of life would have had the quick and solid relationship development through couples.. a friend of mine says that it may be the seinen part because many slice of life don't develop anything, I must say this has opened my eyes to slice of life-- I think I will not completely dismiss the slice of life genre after this (if not at least along with seinen). I am barely halfway through volume 2 right now-- but boy is this good! The only reason I gave this a chance was the "Alter ego" and "Dissociative Identity Disorder"
PS I see why people dislike this

the fact the main turns into side character and it terns into ministories but I don't mind it so much because they are still rather humorous and such some people recommend just skipping it and reading last volume I wouldn't agree doing this if you truly enjoyed the characters like I did, but I wouldn't blame you if you did

The art is fair. Story - not so good, too unrealistic. To most of the characters, I'd say "Get a life!". Anyway, getting married in online games is all good and fine, getting attached to it is fairly stupid - trying to commit suicide b/c people know about your getting married thing is ludicrous. Anyway, it seemed to start out as a collection of short romantic (and idealistic, but that's to be expected) stories, which is fine, but all this plot about "internet detectives" is just, frankly, stupid.

A lot of people have hit this series on the dot...
The story can still be salvaged. This series actually reminds me of Boku no Hatsuka wa Kimi ni Sasagu (my favorite manga). But if this manga is going to get any better, the Haruka needs to come back into the storyline as a MAIN character and then focus on the drama with their hidden love for each other.

Turning a main character into a side character is pretty risky, and I don't feel that Oshima Towa pulled it off very cleanly. There used to quite a lot of romance in the novel, but then it begins to focus on cheating with multiple online girls (which isn't even a little romantic, not even with Miu). Kakeru basically turns into a playboy that doesn't even care about how Haruka feels. A little too much of a sudden change... I think we all would rather see more development between Kakeru and Haruka instead of outcasting her from the entire story.

started out really good, honestly it became less romancey after chapter 10, I really enjoyed the Haruka and Kakeru characters but they shifted the focus of the story (at least up to chapter 17) and they're not even together just making the story seem like it's about online chatting, meeting with people you met online (not romantically) and cyber bullying. Frankly the progression of the story basically made it to get rid of the Haruka girl as a main character and made her entirely a side character that just ruined the story for me.
granted they'll probably fix this problem in the last volume since thats just how these things go, but i just don't have the patience to read the inbetween volumes because of this.
read volume 1, half of volume two, and skip to the last volume.

I thought it's shoujo. Really. Not because the art style, but the apparent naivety / utter idealism with internet romance...just became so jarring. Cultural difference? OTOH, I've seen such behaviour RL and from third party POV, it's...something so very unlikely compared to this.
And the feel is very shoujo, with the love triangle, prolonged drama, lack of communication which caused drama..... And there's no ugly people.
...again, it's seinen? really? But maybe this was more real to the parties involved.... the idealism, the search for true love in the net... And seinen was supposed to appeal more to realism. So yeah.

I don't know if I should enjoy reading about the relationships or pity the idiots and their stupid insecure social network that doesn't give a damn about their users' privacy (or wait, is there even one) . There may be no such thing as online privacy, as V.Cerf said, but wow, these guys are pushing it to the limits, and people are still chatting on their network instead of just using it to discover each other.
In the real world, they'd be sdcc chatting or querying on an ssl-capabled server on irc, even the bogus Skype forces all conversations to be encrypted (though there's no telling what they can do since it's proprietary). No one would be using it, let alone talk about the most private things on that plain, monitored network. They would be sued into oblivion before the site even ends its beta phase.
You shouldn't try to portray something so modern like an internet relationship by introducing characters that are just as clueless as you when it comes to the internet. Or maybe the author does have a clue, and is just making their characters look dumb. In fact so dumb that the guy couldn't even graduate.

I'm giving it 7 since besides those rageworthy technical details that bug me so much, there is an actual story behind it. Kinda.

This is a good manga to read. even though there are only 10 ch scanlated, so much has happened. At first, i thought it was going to be a bunch of short stories because ch 2 doesnt have the same characters as ch 1 but eventually it just stuck to the characters in ch 1 (which i liked better anyways).
this manga is not a bunch of oneshots... keep reading.
YOU MUST READ!!!!
