I watched the anime adaption of this before coming to know of the manga , now that I've read it , all I can say is WTF ,
So like the first half of the entire story I thought it was about 5 guys in a "prison" and how they interacted with each other and the "world" followed by how they would interact with the outside world after being released from the hellish environment. But I was clearly very very wrong , it somehow went from a ""prison school" to weird fetishes and BDSM , physics was just gone at the later parts. Well after reading it I guess the good thing is how amazing the comedy is (I got a lot of meme formats) and the great art and how you realise that the author trolled your butt hard .
Overall :
Art : great
Plot : well thought off but like its confusing as hell
Comedy : amazing
Romance : i dont know anymore
Pacing : slower than it should be
Fetishes : im sure there is atleast 3 present in the manga
Fappable : questionable but maybe

I always almost kill myself, bcs of its gag
so funny and refreshing, sometime just wanna take deep breath bcs jokes that appeared
Sport day arc kinda annoying tho, dragged for how many chapters

anything is fine, but the ending
i wish Kiyoshi~dono had better chances

I'll gave 10/10 if somehow this series continued again ..... LoL

This story is great. I can hardly read some reviews, there are many conservative people. clearly this is not soft hentai. the story is hilarious and simple, but it fulfills the objective of making the reader laugh. art is exquisite and very detailed. I recommend for that reader who wants to laugh and is not a prude.

I've rarely seen ecchi used as creatively as this.
And the best part of this is it has story and a bit of romance.
One of the few titles that you can read over again and still appreciate.

Some genuine spit your drink out moments. If you don't laugh at least a few times during this I don't know what to say. Artwork is incredible. Overall the first half of this series is perfect. The second half does seem to drag out a bit. It appears they didn't have a clear direction for the story.

Adolescence, ecchiness, below-the-belt humor, more ecchiness, more adolescence... and some echiness as topping. In a good way.

As for the nay-sayers - I guess, you've never been through the hardships of pubertal hornyness to the level where you... well, you'd do things that you wouldn't be proud of a little later. This manga grasps just a bit of exactly that, in a funny way. Then, there is the drawing style that looks rather serious - which makes it even funnier!

So far it is a great laugh, honestly, it's funny as fuck! No traumatised-children-background-bullshit, no questions, no drama (well, I have a bad feeling about that one... fingers crossed, it keeps a no-drama thing)

Sure, this manga may be problematic in its attitude towards women and gender roles. But that is a systemic problem with manga and Japan in general, not specific to this one manga. Moreover these critiques fail to see how well executed the humor in this manga is. Simply dismissing it as ecchi doesn't acknowledge how good the artist is at physical humor and direction. The plan to escape the school was meticulously built up and well thought out in how it would affect the characters while still being hilarious. The art is exceptional not simply because the character designs are more detailed than most manga but because the mangaka is great to drawing motion and dramatic shots.

The comparison from Prison School to abu ghraib are unfair. The male students could leave if they agree to withdraw from the school. The only reason they are staying is because they want to stay to meet girls. I agree that this situation would not be funny if flipped but that's just indicative of gender norms everywhere. The manga is only getting criticized because its gender norms are more obvious because it has more fanservice. You can appreciate a work of art despite the flawed assumptions of its creator. Instead, read this manga for what it is, a well executed school ecchi manga that has great physical humor and art. Its better than 90% of manga out there.

This series has such great art and above-average comedy. The whole part about female dominance really turns me off but the comedy and art compensate for it. I probably will look forward for future releases.

As people said the faces and expressions are amazing and it is very funny. However I do not know what will happen after the current story arc because the whole manga seems to be built around meeting one girl.
