Description
The term "femme fatale," or "deadly woman," is a stereotype of an alluring woman who charms her lover into an insatiable desire for her, and draws them into dangerous situations. Its Japanese translation means "the fated woman." In this thrilling romance, Saito Hajime joins a club at his college and meets the "femme fatale": Yukari Ebisawa, a graduate student who loves donuts and has quite a quirky personality – and a boyfriend. However, their relationship soon becomes complicated, interfering with their friends, work, and club duties…

One of the Most Realistic Series Out There

Definitely one of the best, well-written and realistic manga I've ever read. It's very human in that people are multi-faceted and make mistakes and are indecisive, and most of all, that sometimes our actions betray our thoughts. People aren't as straightforward as fiction makes us seem, so reading something like this was a refreshing experience, and felt like I was transported into a friend's story since experiences like these aren't uncommon in reality.
Some people won't like how confusing this series can be, as it's full of subtleties and reading between the lines, much like real life. Sometimes people just don't know what they want, or if they do, they feel compelled not to act on them due to social pressures. Real people act differently in different situations, and it's really lovely seeing how fleshed out Ebisawa is. We see how Hai views her and how his love for her warps his perception of her, and how she doesn't match his fantasies of her since he's not looking at her clearly. The dialogue is very realistic too, and definitely matches what people think in these situations.
It definitely deserves a higher score than 7.1 (as of now), and the low scores are probably just people who don't understand the meaning of this series.

I found this manga very, very difficult to read, and deciphering what exactly the characters were actually saying is mindfuckingly hard. This is all due to the fact that the author decided to construct the dialogue in a way where multiple narratives occur on screen simultaneously. So what you get is the main spoken dialogue (in speech bubbles) from the characters themselves, the inner thoughts of the character/s (either thought bubbles or just text-on-screen) and then you also have the main character narrating his thoughts (in narrative boxes). What you get is a convoluted mess of "What the fuck did I just read? I think I'll re-read this several times just to better understand what the hell they're trying to say." It also doesn't help that the narration oftentimes occurs for several screens at a time and is used very frequently throughout the manga. In the end, this is a very nice piece of work, but the lack of coherency and cohesiveness concerning the narratives make me unable to give this manga anything higher than a 7 at best, and even then I feel like I'm being overly generous.

A lot of the time I just didn't understand what was happening or what the characters were actually saying. I'm not sure i could even say with confidence that i understood any of the characters that were developed...except the married guy....
who looked a LOT like Roy Mustang from FMA...It was distracting but also funny.
Given the title, I was hoping for something quite different, as well.

I am at vol.2ch.5, but this is one very cute, bittersweet story. The dialogues, the storytelling, the feeling and the overall sweetness is above average. I would recommend this only for people in the right mood and over 18. The experience is required the understand the situations and to be able to put yourself in the shoes of the characters. Then reading it from ch.1 may rise the rating from 7/10 to 9,5/10.
one nice series

its like teasing a junior all way about love. the emotion, is displayed somewhere between blatant and candid. sometimes it swings one way, sometimes the other. a good read. a good (light) romance read.
