i didn't like this in the beginning because i just couldn't get the whole 'radiant nonsense' . it was like every page had the word 'radiant' in it. the author must have used the word radiant at least 500 times...the constant use of chibi's was a turn off. the guys are so feminine! and the art was weird......like when she draws sunako REALLy ugly...i felt like the manga was going no where....and the list goes on.
but i still read a few chapters now and then cos its ongoing and somehow im starting to like it...i guess it grew on to me a bit. if you had second thoughts like i did, stick with it and it gets better ^^

I really enjoy this manga because the author does not make Sunako someone who enjoys love, but someone who enjoys the darkness instead. The only part that I really don't like much, is that this book isn't progressing as much as I thought it would, but oh well! I think you should give this book a try if you like comedies!

I love this manga! The lead female of this story is not the typical weak/pathetic type. She kicks ***!
Although, I wish the manga isn't so draggy. I believe that the mangaka forgot about the main story, because some of the chapters (later ones) are so irrelevant. It's sad to see that the main girl still hasn't change (and I'm in volume 19 right now). But I still recommend this, and I'm sure some will enjoy this.
One thing that I am confused with is that in the very beginning, the guys did a "mini makeover" on her (of course, ti turned out real bad) and they plucked her eye.. lashes? Why?

I did like the opening volumes, a very creative and original idea with one hell of a freaky girl and four nosebleed-inducing hot guys. I mean, she's so dark, she can blow out lightbulbs. Yeah, so she's supposed to transform into an enchanting lady of sorts (else Sunako's aunt will take the guy's heads)...but that's where the whole thing goes wrong. I get the fact that she won't turn into a lady overnight but atleast she should make an attempt! There are points when you feel the story is progressing and something exciting is happening but then...it all goes back to square one (I'm not even going to start on chapter 87). The concept is good but its like a comic strip, once you've familiarised yourself with the characters, you may pick up any random volume and read it, the basic idea still remains the same.
The characters are good, Sunako being my favorite, female protagonist with a backbone and kickass fighting skills. Kyohei maybe the hottest but has the disposition of kid, and annoys me a lot of times. But I'm still holding out waiting for it to get better!
Read if you want a break from your usual genre for this one is certainly unique.

This was really good while the good jokes lasted. Then, it collapsed into a mess of recycled jokes and bland humor and the latest plot doesn't even make any sense, though the last I read: it became really smutty and naughty.
Well, even the fun and good art couldn't keep me reading.

This manga is... a jewel. Incredibly unique in style, both in characters, and plot. Though there are a lot of fillers, the real important chapters are placed perfectly to keep interest.
The two main characters really have their feelings dragged out of them, slowly and painfully--heck almost 1/2 the time it's almost deadly.
I love it.
I will saw that when I first started reading this manga, I criticized it for having too feminine males: huge eye lashes, big eyes, womanly facial shape, perfect almost glossy lips, SCARFS, etc. but now I think it's quaint and it actually became part of the plot for one of the male characters

even though the story is moving ever so slowly, i love this manga. it really is refreshing after reading dark or lovey dovey mangas. even though there isn't that much romance, it makes you appreciate it much more when there is, also the moments are soo cute. anyway i love sunako, different form all those shy and extremely pretty girl that has every guy liking her. its funny, so give it a chance.
It started out great...

I wasn't blown away by the art, and honestly I didn't intend to read it when I first saw the manga cover, but I tried it anyway, and it was really interesting. At the beginning, at least. Eventually it becomes unnecessarily long, and there's no real plot, like a Doraemon story that looks at their everyday lives. I was expecting a continuous story but it seems that sometimes even the mangaka has forgotten what she has put down *sigh* I just hope the coming chapters would be part of the main plot already... Or at least throw in more SunakoXKyouhei love xD

0 points for the story/plot/artwork/whatever, 100 points for Sunako.
This is the perfect example of a filler-fest manga (as someone before me said) with lazy artwork and weak (or non-existent) plot, that goes on and on only because of the sheer awesomeness of Sunako XD.
Read a few volumes then stop, that's my advice. So you won't yell in happiness when chapters are actually *gasp* connected!
....It's like someone wipes off the character's memory after each chapter.

I actually like the beginning of the manga (though the first volume was so hard for me to get through, too much was condensed on each page), its really interesting. Its absolutely hilarious, and each chapter I read leaves me at least giggling, though most have me LOLing all over the place, frightening my parents.
I was never a fan of the artwork though, because of the constant use of chibis, lack of background, and even when everyone is drawn cleary, I don't like the art. Not only that, but recently, the manga is turning into a 'filler fest'. Nothing happening, or changing, just going, and with mostly the same jokes, thus less impact.
Obviously, its a good story, but the author is running out of ideas, and it needs to move along, or be put out of its misery before it falls anymore (perferably not this, I hate rushed endings).
Not much of a romance either, but I don't mind, since Sunako and Kyohei don't seem like the lovey-dovey type in the first place. Its there, and you can tell. I do hope it ends with a bit more though, with at least them acknowledging it.
