like most guys say here after the awesome first ark it becomes total nonsense. its turns into one of those crazy Manhwas that has some crazy and twisted storyline (non sexually ofcorse, dont worry its not that f ed up lol) .

p.s loved the male lead in first ark, zero is the best character in manga eva

I do agreed that that the story is a bit "fail" in the end. (you may say the author just rush to finish it)
But the quality of the images that was improving every chapters make this manga work more than 6/10.
I would give it 7.5/10.
But i 'm very attach to the characters (I must say Zero = one of the best characters of manga's world)
Personalty i like this manga so i give it 10/10.

Good Beginning BUT...

Although the first arc of the manga is fantastic, the plot afterwards slowly loses its positive qualities. Around chapter 40, reading the manga was difficult because it was boring and lacking progression of the main plot. The ending could have been better, but it's not.

Nice End but Too Many Plotholes

Truthfully, I didn't expect this manga to end this early since I was waiting on some of the plotholes to be filled up and more action for a least a few more volumes. Anyway, this was a great manga overrall as the story and characters was interesting and very refreshing. My compliments to the author doing a great job with this manga.

It started out boring, but actually a good read

Read the whole 18 vols in 1 sitting. I feel like it dragged on and the ending seemed kinda rushed, but a interesting and unique read indeed.

The romance developed too quickly, having Kurohime find love and becomes all lovely dovey seems questionable. But it is still good and throughout the whole read there are romance, humour, light heartedness, seriousness, development, twists, fantasy, and more. Though the time travelling? Hmmmmm.

A recommended read!

Unexpected...

I've just finished this manga, and what can I say...1st arc and/or 2nd was rather good, but after that it's like I was reading different manga. Well, before picking up this manga, I wasn't expecting a lot from it, I just thought it'd be nice to read something light and easy (shounen, romance, ecchi...;d), but it was beyond my expections and like I mentioned, first few arcs were really good...
And thus comes the sad part...ending or like last quarter of this manga. I don't want to spoil anything, so I'll just say...It's so ridiculous and silly. Feels like somebody forced mangaka to destroy all the effort that's been put into this manga...It's really sad to see yet another manga with
some potential being ruined like that...
I'd give this manga 5, but let's just pretend that it wasn't ruined and all of its potential was used.

The art and story are pretty good, but there are some plot holes and other oddball issues. Don't think too much about the plot after the first arc and just enjoy the story, that's all I can warn without spoilers.

What can i say this story kick ass but ending suck balls first arc was realy cool zero is one of the best characters he is not plain and loves kurohime all the time arc 2 is not bad but it looks like the ending was somehow pushed by author or not cuz it's 17 volumes still i wanted to see more kurohime/zero action together as normal persons not as kurhohime vs zero or smt smile

In the end i give 10 cuz art is realy good Zero is one of the best male characters and kurohime better if u see it yourself smile

This is one of the mangas that I really enjoyed and would read once again just for the fun of it, although the ending felt a little forced and weird but the last page sure gaved me a laugh.

Eye-candy shounen a seinen fan can enjoy

I'm a seinen guy, with ever less tolerance for normal shounen – the worldview too simple and the behavior too overblown and unrealistic to me – but Kurohime I enjoyed, with some reservations. The author knows how to balance pomp with humor, the story is actually moving somewhere, things happen to characters, which themselves are pretty well fleshed-out, and there is plenty of emotions not limited to the goddam “aren’t we nakama!!!111” thing (it has a romance-driven storyline, for one) – all of which is to say the negative parts aren't as bad as they could be.

Meanwhile, the manga has some huge selling points, and if one - abundance of very attractive female characters (aw, come on) - is easy to come by (tho' not as easy as it may seem), the other's more unusual, being is the mangaka's rampant visual imagination. I'm not a visuals guy, art is secondary to chars and narrative to me, but here, every second page is a threat to savor, offering a slew of images that are nothing if not archetypal – giant gods carrying the Moon, walking mountains, stainless steel dragons, stylizations for Mesopotamian frescoes and more in that vein. Others have noted the story is pretty generic, which is true – still plenty of fights for fights’ sake, shark-jumping and good ol’ formulas, esp. later on – but I’d say much of the effort simply went into the art instead, and most wasn’t wasted. All in all, not cliche-free, but lively, dramatic, dynamic and visually stunning, and so (possibly) worth the attention even if you don’t normally go for this genre. For the shounen world, of course, a gem.
