I found each story has its own potential to be continued, especially the second and the third story, which are my favourites. I like the artwork, it was simple and I don't know how to put it, but the artwork of this mangaka matches well with her story.
Hmm...

It's a bit...hard to rate this.
The first story was a bit boring, mostly because I cared little for the heroine and the hero was, although very HOT, also equally not very interesting. I understand that it's a oneshot but I expected much from this mangaka and there have been a hundred other oneshots that could make you care for the protagonists and the story. This just wasn't one of them.
Second Story was way more interesting. The strangeness of it almost made me lol around the beginning then it just got really...dramatic? I'm not sure that's the word. Melancholic? I dunno. The ending was strange.
Don't worry, this doesn't happen in this oneshot because it's, thankfully, a oneshot and only hinted at the end...but still.
Third Story is kinda fantasy-ish, I guess? Foreign land or something. I loved it. Which is weird. The male lead was a bishie but still adorable, getting flustered for a kiss the girl gives him(who, BTW, seems unfazed by it).
The girl is a princess and is supposed to have some kind of lady-swornshield relationship with the guy but all I see is a really strong girl, amazingly cool BTW, who isn't ditzy or annoying. As usual, the guy is a bishie who I find totally cute.
But seriously, the leads are so cool.

Did I mention the female lead was cool? Sad that it's just a oneshot. This one had potential. If someone could point me to a similar story, I'd be much obliged.
It could have been expanded. This oneshot deserves a high rating. If only the mangaka would expand on this, this could have been one of her best works. Interesting story. Fairly unique protagonists. It's like a prologue.
Fourth Story--The name of the female lead is the same as the second story so I almost did a double take because the lead looks totally different...I mean the hair, of course.
I know some might say there could have been more, but people, this is a oneshot. And it totally worked. The pacing was quick but the story was just awesome. No beating around the bush and unlike the third story which felt like a prologue, this was just satisfyingly sweet and unique. If there is a similar manga with similar plot out there, I'm sure it would have been dragged out. But this, this was just right.
The thing that I find weird about this are the ages, but in the end, I got over it and it just added to the uniqueness of it all. The guy isn't some rich jerk and is sort of implied to be a grifter/pro at duping people(?). The girl is likable and the ending was just sweet. It could have been longer but I'm totally satisfied by the ending.
Everything is subtly done, no sudden "OMG, I LOVE HIM!" or sparkly-glittery goo-goo eyes so very often found in shoujo. It matches well with the fast pace of it all.

I mean, the letters were touching and maybe it helped him move on but then *gasp!*, he pulls the little sister along implying a romance to start.

I'm just not into story lines where one protagonist falls in love with his old flame's sibling. Especially when old flame dies. I hate the feeling...it feels strangely like cheating. I mean, yeah, it's good to move on but the usual trope is: Guy's first love dies unexpectedly, he sees younger sister who coincidentally looks a lot like big sis and they go through the whole drama of "Oh, noes! You only love me coz I look like her!" and "I love you for you even if I went through a whole ton of self-torture!"

The only thing I find that really amuses me about this is the names. Kyle? Really? And Princess Leia?*snort*...I'm having flashbacks of one too many Star Wars parodies.
But seriously, the leads are so cool.

First, you think she's some resigned-to-her-fate girl willing to sacrifice for her country but then you find she's willing to fight. She's so badass.

A bit confusing, but touching and cute!
I have to say, I never like collections of oneshots. They're too hard to keep track of, seeing as there's more than one under the same title. It's hard to rate, review, and all that, as one might be good while the next sucked.
I have to say I didn't really expect much from this manga, shoujo's with more modern art style and a female lead? Well, that pretty much equals to average/boring/typical in my mind. I didn't know it was a collection at that point though.
It's still pretty normal, but doesn't reek of typical shoujos. I should say this much is expected for oneshots though, perhaps because they end before they have a chance to become boring.
The story I won't go too much into, like said, this is the reason I hate collections -.-. But they're pretty cute, almost jerked up a tear or two. The art is pretty too, doesn't stand out much though. The one thing though, I'm not sure if this is translations problem or story or simply the panel placing, they can be somewhat confusing at times. I feel they aren't exhausting their full potential.
Overall, it's pretty good, but much is expected from oneshot stories. I wouldn't say it's exceptional, but that's under oneshot terms. Otherwise, a great manga, worth the read.

my favorite is the first one. it has a funny tiny twist on the standard thinking. At first it was a little confusing, but the end is cute and enjoyable
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
it starts out with a demon going to earth...then the reader finds out that the "hero" made a contract...and the ending has the heroine trying to block an attack...and finding out she never stood a chance at escaping either her friend OR the demon ^_^
