I have a feeling the Urahara, Yoruichi, Isshin, and possibly Ryuken are all tied together some how, maybe a connection with the Vizards perhaps? They didn't seem all too surprised or that upset when the vizards showed up.

edit: i forgot to add the fact that mangakas tend to choose the couples from the very start so they could build history on it. basically-they already know what happened in the past and how the manga will end.

But I can also easily counter any of those with a reason why he should be with Inoue..

Besides, I don't think Rukia was in love with Kaien.. Kaien was more like an elder brother.. and his wife was like an elder sister to Rukia..

So, that would actually reinforce the theory that Ichigo and Rukia just have a brother-sister relationship..

Also, neither have stated that they loved each other, as in lovers.. but Inoue has said that she loves Ichigo..

Whatever reason anyone gives...my vote's still on Rukia

I personally hope for Inoue.. But I really don't care who he eventually ends up with.. IF he's even going to end up with someone..

Though it would be a nice twist, if he would end up with Nell..

Inoue isn't pitiful.. She's one of the kindest characters in Bleach..

When did Inoue said that? And even if she said that, right after that Rangiku encouraged here to not give up..

Rukia loved Kaien, as a brother..
