Either's fine if done well.
Also enjoy a good nonlinear on occasion.

Don't really have a preference, though continuous stories do seem to have more of a point and not just be comedy. Though sone episodic manga is exceptional, like Mushishi.
I prefer most of my anime to be continuous, but of course there are times where episodic is just the thing to watch if you don't feel like concentrating too hard or something
Edit: Ey I clearly wasn't paying attention yesterday. It's the same when I'm reading manga though. I prefer continuous, but sometimes episodic can be nice to read too.

Episodic can be a good read, but it gets frustrating if there is no progression at all, so overall I prefer continuous.

Okay, this is difficult for me because my ideal manga is a combination of both where it's episodic in nature, but has a larger overall plot that each one ties into and all the loose ends get tied up whenever it ends or sometimes some plot points get resolved while others linger on until a later time.. x]] But I answered continuous because if it's a long series that's just episodic in nature it'd drive me insane.. And I'd only be able to read some every now and again instead of all the way through.

I don't really care as long as it's interesting and there's a common link to hold everything together.

continuous i guess even though most manga are repetitive and look like a lot of other manga the reason i started reading manga was because of the story and if i wanted episodic we have more then enough comics here for that.

anyways, if I had to choose one, it would be episodic
I hate it when plots are completely continuous
ideally they're a mix of longer and shorter arcs

Both. There are some really great episodic series (for example, Mushishi and Yotsubato! are the only two manga I've ever rated 10)
I'm not surprised that most people prefer continuous, though.
