Well, as the name states... this is more or less a discussion of rather you like and/or dislike the new Batman movie. After seeing how great a movie Iron Man was; I thought that was it for good comic book hero movies this year. Dark Knight proved me wrong. It was AWESOME! Heath Ledger's portrayal of the Joker was astounding: being insane, vile, cruel, and ingenious. From beginning to end, it was worth spending every second watching it (movie is 2hours and 32min btw, rofl). It is definitely one of the few movies that is worth paying to see on the big screen, or IMAX for some of you lucky SOBs (j/k.... actually no not really, I am jealous if your did see it in IMAX mad ). So what are your thoughts if you've seen it?

I just want towatch the Dark Knight yesterday! Free tickets courtesy of my mom's company biggrin
Well, I thought it was awesome too! Before watching it, I had already heard alot about Heath Ledger's great acting skills in Batman. Indeed, I totally agree with them. Heath Ledger's joker was really... awe-inspiring... sorry, m vocab doen't really have the rght words to describe it, but basically watching the joker sent shivers down my spine and you could really feel how insane he was.... ahaha.
The movie was longer than I expected.
Spoiler (highlight to view)
I thought it was ending when they caught the joker... but no, surprise, surprise, he still had more tricks up his sleeve! O.o
The movie was a little... disturbing at some parts though. Disturbing as in... blood. The faint-hearted are advised to close their eyes at the Joker-torturing-people parts.
Okay, after rambling so much... basically, the movie is GREAT.

It was an intense movie, they'll never be able to use Joker for a long time though

I haven't seen the movie yet, but I really want to see Heath Ledger as Joker. He'll get nominated for sure. It's too bad that he passed away. RIP

i can honestly say that the dark knight is one of the best movies i have seen in a long time...it had a great plotline and the characters were well developed...
the joker really was the best part of the whole movie, heath ledger was unbelievable really and after seeing it i was even more depressed that he is dead. i don't think that his performance will ever be able to be topped...
in my opinion this movie is right up there with lord of the rings movies and all the other epic films..
i got to see it at imax..i recommend seeing it there, it truly is an experience. biggrin

Saw Teh Dark Knight yesterday, very good. Also, I am willing to bet any amount of money Heath Ledger gets a posthumous Oscar because thats how Hollywood does things. Not that it would necessarily be undeserved.

The Joker in this one got underneath your skin. He made me feel like killing him wouldn't be satisfactory enough simply because he wasn't prone to fear or pain. He really was an interesting character to watch.

And this is why Joker will always be in my top 5 favorite villains.

the scary thing for me was how the twisted logic of a psychopath such as the joker actually made sense in some part of the movie...heath ledger did a very great job in portraying the role of the joker...i've seen the costume design and the interpretation of the joker by jack nicholson, and i felt like it was too silly for me to take his character seriously....however, heath ledger's joker was a much darker, sadistic portrayal, and the way that his make-up looked very unkempt and ruined and messed-up just further enhances the psychotic state-of-mind of the joker...the batman was good as well, but i felt a bit guilty, since i wasn't able to pay much attention to the batman, ironically, when i was too engulfed in trying to catch sight of the joker....i'm afraid the poster before had got it right....the joker stole the show ~

i believe the meaning/concept that batman was trying to conveyed at the end was really logical, but the way how it was executed was rather poorly...much of the it was monologue-narrating, and i rather that batman would just run to his bike and leave immediately, while some sad music goes off....i believe the audience is intelligently-equipped enough to understand what the direction was trying to communicate through batman's action at the end....

one of the thing that i would never ever EVER forgive the director/producer of this movie, however, is the fact that they actually dared to LET A PERFECTLY REFINED LAMBORGHINI GALLARDO BE SMASHED MERCILESSLY AND BEYOND REPAIR FOR A TINY SCENE OF LESS THAN 10 SECONDS mad mad mad

other than that, one of the trailer at the beginning of the movie caught my attention.....watchmen....that trailer looked very appetizing bigrazz ...i love that line they used in the trailer...

The world will look up and shout "Save us"
and I'll whisper, "No"

truly amazing...even the trailer accompanying this movie is mind-blowing smile wink grin

here's a link to the HD trailer if you wanna check it out

Awesome movie!! It's really sad that Heath Ledger is gone now, because with Dark Knight especially he's shown how versatile he was as an actor. I liked Iron Man too, but this was better! My only complaint was that the "disguised" voice that Christian Bale used for Bat Man was really annoying. Not much of a complaint laugh
