I'm wondering... I love to scanlate because I love to see the download # go up, the comments In the series, comments on the scanlation, and of course, my name on the credits page.

But I'm thinking... Do you actually PAY attention to the credits? To the people who wasted a crapload of time that could be put to better use doing this thingy? Do you even take a GLANCE at the credits page?!?

WHA, I must know! Does your mind subconsciously memorize a username after seeing it 20 million times on credit pages? And then you see said person on a site & you think "oh, he/she works for [whatever] and works as [whatever] on series [whatever]"

Tell me. Right now.

P.S: If this thread is a repeat, you can go die so you know how much I care. :] (read: I EEZ LAZEH)

i do pay attention to them but the only names i can remember are from the groups i literally stalk like esthetique and arerandria. and since i have read almost all their series i notice the same names.

for the writings on the creditpage;
yes i read them. cause even when the groups are looking for staff they can still write in a funny way and i like to read them.

Not usually. I do read it, but I don't really pay any mind to it.

I usually read them at least once but I won't read the same credits page multiple times unless the scanlators like to add their own comments on it or extra notes about the translation. Just a list of names and job titles doesn't warrent repeated reading.

I do if I spot a username I recognize from said group...like lambchopsil in osu/maximum7 when they were scanlating Mx0

or if it really catches attention like: This one, though technically it isn't a credits page XD

Same here. I read them in hommage to the work of those who scanlated for me a manga i like. Also is often hilarious reading their comments XD

I read what group scanned it, then at least read the names once. If they add comments, then I'll usually stop and read it each time.

I pay attention to them, especially if the page is pretty. biggrin
And if I see the username somewhere it reminds me of the credit pages.

Although I like to read the rant more. laugh

I read it sort of, particularly if they put effort into it to make it interesting or if they add entertaining comments. If it's just plain I don't notice much. The names themselves don't mean anything to me.

I generally glance at it, or if I'm not in a rush to read, I take a look if there are any notes. If it's just names, it's always just the glance. xD

But yeah, occasionally, I do remember a name because I've seen it so many times.

Just the short commentary made on the credits of some translation groups..notably, Lacaille from Aerandria and Sagakure (SKG).

I do if the Credits are more then a white site with the word credits and some names.
a picture a comment from the scanlator or a rant is nice.

If its on mangafox, I do.

If it's something I downloaded, no.

Absolutely. I believe that people who do good work deserve to have their due respect. I also buy most of the manga I download, in some language or other.

I do have a wish/request for other scanlators out there: I'd really appreciate it if the original release date could be added to the notes or something. I always try to include it on chapters that I help on.
