I'm playing Chrono Cross on my phone (using an emulator, of course). I played Chrono Trigger on my DS several years ago, so i though i should give the sequel a go. Not a bad game, but i kind of feel it does not give me the same "feels" CT, plus there are waaaaayyyyyy too many characters in CC (43 to be exact).

I was playing School Days HQ, because I didn't like the anime >.> (Wrong person died *cough*) So I played the visual novel, and got an ending that I liked... for the most part. Too lazy to replay it and see what other endings I could get.

I am kind of playing Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis, but I keep needing to change the limits on things. Geez all those limits kill the game. Raise them and it's a lot better. But as soon as I change one thing, I run into another limit that I need to change. *sigh*.
For example you can only have 60 dinosaurs in your park. So I would change it to 5000, but then see I have a limit on the food dispenser.
I put this game on hold because I don't feel like doing a full look through the code? to alter the limits.

I have been playing Dragonvale on my phone for a while. Since it's a game with long timers, I can do something and then leave it. But there's so many dragons I want to get and there's only available for a limited amount of time T^T It's hard trying to save your gems.

I am now going to be playing Lamento -Beyond the Void- hopefully I'll like it.

Tales of Zestiria. I kinda feel like the story is all over the place though... And I really don't get the whole skills on equipment stuff. Actually, there are many things I don't get, yet I still don't have a lot of trouble against strong enemies.

I do have a lot of fun playing it, so I guess it's all good. ^^

10 billion wives.

I need to collect my harem of waifus. So far, I like this game. It really drains your batteries though. I play it several times a day. I kinda understand how some people can get addicted to candy crush, because I look at my phone more often now to check how much my waifus love me.

I hope that all PS+ users enjoyed the 80s-tastic Broforce. R-rated cartoon when?

Deponia Doomsday DaedalicĀ“s adventures are a BIG deal in Germany and i consider them to be the best such developer in the modern adventure market. Especially if i consider that their games still retain actual puzzles unlike their American competition. The gorgeous 2D art also helps to get the nostalgia going. The original trilogy ended on a bleak note that managed to turn off a lot of fans but i liked the ballsy ending. This out of the blue time travel caper still holds true to the black humor roots and is lastly an additional closing act and not a new beginning. Newcomers will thus need to start with the 1st entry due to the tightly knit continuity. The gameĀ“s one problem is that it continues a completed narrative and the second half could have been an entirely new IP. The "new" ending point is again to my liking. B+

Etrian Odyssey 2 Untold: The Fafnir Knight The franchise is more than established at this point and this remake should be the most polished entry so far while being a great entry point. The story mode is also more coherent than ever but a proper cutscene skip feature needs to be added in the future due to the endless filler text. I frankly stated to suffer burnout due the fast release schedule of comparable Atlus game but i wonĀ“t blame this particular game for that. B

Fantasy Life I am a Sims fan but never cared for Animal Crossing due to an utter lack of actual gameplay. This game though bothered to include a proper campaign with varied modes of play. None of them are that deep and a real story wonĀ“t be found either but the action RPG elements work just fine and the campaign kept be busy for about 15 hours. The usual Level-5 charm is also a plus. B-

Far Cry Primal Blood Dragon once pulled a full conversion of Far Cry 3 and succeeded with itĀ“s writing and style but the gameplay and world felt like afterthoughts. Primal basically pulls the same stunt with Far Cry 4 (note the map similarities) but the developers doubled down on reworking the gameplay and most importunately world into a cohesive package. The narrative may be simplistic but what would one expect from a caveman revenge drama and the game is one of the most original big budget productions in years. Which other game will let you drink human eyeballs to send you on a drug induced mass murder vision! The entire game is actually noteworthy for being one of the most messed up M-rated games of all time due to over the over the top gore, the mentioned drugs, heaps of cannibalism and a lot of full frontal nudity. PrimalĀ“s fictional language is another noteworthy standout but donĀ“t ask me how the dude bro audience will respond to it. DonĀ“t expect the same amount of content the standard setting Far Cry 4 brought to the table but Primal sill managed to deliver one of the most believable open-worlds of all time and again proves that the Ubisoft collect-a-thon formula works. The very easy Platinum trophy can lastly be achieved in about 25 hours. B+

Final Fantasy Explorers is being written off as another Monster Hunter clone (which it is) but i find it better in certain aspects. The gameflow and ease of use are superior and the appeal of "iconic" FF elements canĀ“t be overlooked either. The problem is that the combat cloned PSO instead. I may not be a big fan of CapcomĀ“s yearly grind but they nailed the combat and the simple battle system of this game canĀ“t keep up. The lack of a presentation and the over-reliance on material grinding is also unfortunate but FFE does one aspect way better than most such handheld games. The single player campaign is actual playable due to the monsters one can raise and bring along. I thus bothered to finish the game which surprised even me and it is better than any of the Crystal Chronicles forefathers. Soul Sacrifice and the Ys games may be a bit superior and the sequel will need to improve on these criticism for me to return but worthwhile Action-RPGs got rare on handhelds so i can ultimately recommend the game. B-

Firewatch is the first independent game by the writer of TTĀ“s Walking Dead S01 and part of the ever growing "walking simulator" genre. The sub-genre name feels very fitting as first person adventures from the 90s actually bothered to feature real puzzles... Nah, iĀ“m kidding.
I like these and Firewatch is one of the best so far. The developers squeezed a mighty fine looking and beautifully over-saturated forest out of the Unity engine and my highlight is the clever VN section that forms the prologue. ItĀ“s a bit like the flashback novels from the highly overlooked Lost Odyssey. The game may lack a certain appeal to younger gamers due to the themes and the rushed ending is frankly a head scratcher but the journey is still worth it.
The soundtrack / sound design can lastly put most industry leaders to shame. B-

Lego Marvel's Avengers I prefer DC and had my problems with the directionless Lego Batman 3 but TT redeemed themselves here. The game is set in the MCU and thus lacks Fox / Sony characters, unlike the unrelated yet somewhat re-purposed 1st game, but the framework of the 2 Avengers films gives this 2nd Lego Marvel game a stronger sense of purpose. I would have preferred to get 2 separate games for both phases of the MCU for a more complete picture and 3 of the standalone film levels seem to be a re-purposed DLC afterthought due to the lowered presentation and scope. Upcoming TT games also need to ditch the last-gen consoles but the rest is the best such game to date after Lego Indiana Jones. The level design is without a doubt the best in the series and the action sections finally evolved from being a simple button masher. To a degree at least and my main wish for the future is a return of the mostly elusive online co-op. B

Rainbow Six: Siege I donĀ“t mind the exclusion of a campaign, even if these are what the series is known for, but it is still unfortunate due to the quality of the sole such co-op mission after the string of alibi tutorials. The sequel will certainly have one and this sub-series should be renamed to S.W.A.T. due to the similar nature of this game to that dead franchise. The multiplayer mode is pretty fascinating and the unique gameplay is rock solid but the lack of content and customization is noticeable. The game thus feels somewhat uncompleted for a full price game yet i will come back for the sequel and will stick around longer if it will feature more content. B-

Oxenfree should please fans of the recent adventure game The Cave and Broken Age as it is a fusion of both. ItĀ“s barely a game though and is best described as a 2D string of multiple routes conversation. LetĀ“s call it Lost in high-school and the theories around it are worth a read too. B

Shardlight is how i would imagine a Fallout adventure to look like if all the irony was stripped out. A comparison to Beneath a Steel Sky is also appropriate due to the early 90s presentation and style. The gameĀ“s one noticeable flaw is the fast pacing due to the short length but a sequel could easy fix that and this is the developerĀ“s best adventure game yet. B

Tales of Zestiria is better that the universally nonsensical Tales sequels but i still canĀ“t recommend it and even burned out on the game. The Tales franchise never had "good" narratives but this one is outright bad. Every character is most importantly an unengaging clichĆ© and the addition of character fusions to the battle system need to be fixed or leave the franchise immediately. Even the technical side felt as if it took a step back. LetĀ“s see how the upcoming "prequel" will shake out but the developer needs to move on from the decade old PS3. Zestria functions fine enough so veterans may last till the open ending, which is even locked behind Dlc, but newcomers should instead invest into recent entries as Graces f, Hearst R, Syphnia Chronicles 1, Xillia 1 or Vesperia instead. Giving Yggdra Union another try, and also picked up Devil Survivor 2 again. Now I'm realizing how freaking huge the screen is on a 3DS XL.

Started playing Youkai Watch, Fossil Fighters: Frontier (enjoying the new travel system),
and Mario & Luigi: Dream Team, which is just like its prequel but it's still pretty fun. Oh and also Yoshi's New Island.

And Hotline Miami, still getting the remaining achievements. shy
