A main or important side character who lose it for one reason or another. It doesn't have to be a psychotic break or anything but it can be.
Two very different examples Berserk and Sasameki Koto.

"lose it" as in become crazy... just went blank... went berserk... breakdown and so on and so on right?
gunslinger girl. it happen sometimes to some of the girls...
kandachime. she is not just a kandachime... she is something else (you understand if u read it)

koe de oshigoto!.. well, it's not that she went crazy or anything like that.. she just went deep into character... to deep... very deep (i wonder if there is a real person like that?)

yeah that's pretty much right and where would I go about finding gunslinger girl btw cus I looked for it but couldn't find a place. BTW I've read kandachime up till the part where that happens (caught up) and I've been stockpiling it. Also that can happen with people (Koe de Oshigoto) I say this because I'm a writer and to write a good piece you have to become your character.

Actually this stemmed from that because I started it up again and got to volume 6 and felt it to be a very deep moment because everyone has experienced pain like that in their life but most don't let it flow so openly, so its very relate-able and I've been reading a lot of manga with those 'lose it' situations lately all of which were phenomenal.

i believe there are scanlation of gunslinger girl up to a certain point out there somewhere... i myself have up to vol 11 of the manga and still waiting for vol 12 to be publish here..
another suggestion would be Officer MONJU no scanlation yet... the whole story is about a robot cop that losing it..
