Quote from bully_jesus
the normal volume size is at least a lot better than the way they sell comics in north america, i HATE those little Marvel booklets of 20-30 pages. I really could never collect them.

lol that's true, but to be fair, they have like ten paragraphs on a page at times though. Doesn't mean i'll ever collect them either though ^^

Do one-shots count? Because two of my favorite mangas are actually one-shots =P

LiveAlive (scanslated by Toriyama's World) and Tengoku no Honya (scanslated by Snoopycool)

I'd also recommend Penguin Brothers.

Edit: I realized I forgot a few.
Full Moon wo Sagashite

And some shorter series' by well-known mangaka:
Zombie Powder (Kubo Tite - Bleach)
Yamato Gensouki (Yabuki Kentaro - Black Cat, which I would also recommend)

Wolverine - Snikt!
An interesting take on the X-Men universe. Just one volume long, fully-coloured and drawn by (oh-my-god) Tsutomu Nihei. Reads from left to right though.

Where the HeLl can I get/DL this oneshot??

Third person to ask me this after I've posted it. Weird, I thought it was more popular.

Got Lurk?

Nah, you'd be surprised how many dipshits that still go on StopTazmo and refused to do anything that might be in any way complicated. It's amazing.

well no offense intended but sometimes it gets rather annoying hearing the same question over and over and over again.
ie how do you download stuff (which the response is go read a tutorial) and the other always being where can i find this manga (which the answer usually is lurk). it gets rather annoying <_< well for me anyways

I never heard about lurk untill i asked gediminas where snikt can be found. I always looked up the mirc channels and pages of the scanslator groups, and sometimes boxtorrents.
Actually, lurk kind of scared me. They have so much manga so well orderd and with fast downloads. Made me realize how many manga leechers are out there. I didn't really how easy it is to get everything. Makes me wonder how long it will be untill somebody starts cracking down on manga distribution. I know its still peanuts compared to video and music piracy, but still.

Lurk & irc is my life and blood, dunno what i'd do w/o it... maybe still torrenting litlle 15mb files xD

Stoptazmo i don't like either tho, tends to send me trojans in the form of ads.

No particular order.

Diamond Head

Allegro Agitato

X-Days

Soko wa Nemuri no Mori

Automatic Angel

Candy Life

Baby Pop

Magic

X2

Angelic Layer (it's different from the anime)

Ludwig Kakumei

Cruel Fairytales

Hoshi no Koe

Paradise Kiss (this one can be found on Lurk, 5 vols, full)

Saishuu-Heiki Kanojo (Saikano)

All of the shoujo mangas above are great, some are even marvellous. ^^

The following ones are seinen & shounen.

Duds Hunt

Goth

Great Teacher Onizuka

Eternal Sabbath

That's a whole bunch of recommendation, but they're not some sudden whims. You can find them all on Lurk (hail Lurk!!!!). Uhm, there are many more complete series but I haven't finished them yet. Update later. =)

FMwS is indeed a manga. I did mention it in my previous post, but just as a warning, the plot in the manga is quite a bit different than the anime plot.

Nn, keep in mind that I'm into more of the seinen/josei type.

-20th Century Boys (although I dunno if that constitutes as completed, haha)
-Death Note
-Petshop of Horrors
-Eternal Sabbath
-Telepathic Walkers
-Magic
anddd
-Azumanga Daioh (for laughs and kicks)

BLAME! beats all of them. Except maybe Great Teacher Onizuka.

I say GTO and BLAME are on the same level. If taken into consideration the story, the character, the art, and the style.

lol ares, your enthusiasm has got me, i shall check out blame when given the time. though i think it was already recommended before.

And 20th century boys is awsome, but i don't count it as complete xD, one more volume, so close yet soooo far. I'd like to see an anime based on it.
