Hello I'm looking for a long romance which is realistic as possible that spans over years of the characters life. Like starts off in high school, then goes to university, then jobs and such. If it is a sequel to an earlier manga then that is cool too.

Shoujo, shounen, seinen, yuri and yaoi, shounen ai and shojou ai are all fine.

I don't like a story where all the characters have in common is that they like sex, and I hate ecchi or anything that depicts a male or females body in a way that is overly sexual.
I hate stupid characters, but if they have good character development then that is good too.
I like relationship development.
I like characters who know themselves, who have morals and stick to them, but once again character development is welcome, if they don't start out with this.
I don't like it if the characters develop in a way that makes them completely dependant on each other. I don't like the expression two halves make a whole, I want characters who are complete within themselves, and wish to share their completeness with each other.
I would prefer that there aren't chapters that come straight from the "How to write a Shoujo Manga Handbook" I'm sure you have seen the same recurring plots appearing in many shojou manga. But, if you think it is the best manga in the world then that is ok.
Also, I don't like it if they are set in western countries. It is often terribly inaccurate and rather offensive.

I hope you can help, because I am seriously bored.

Kimi no Iru Machi I don't know if you'll like it, it has some Ecchi, but it really like the Manga. It starts in Highschool, then College .

Sorry but you require too much, dude. There's hardly manga that could meet all your requirements...

For yaoi you could try Complex. I don't remember much about it because i read it such a long time ago. Though I do remember it starting from their childhood and them reaching their old age. But be warned, if you can't stomach shotacon at all you may not want to read this because in the earlier chapters there is a situation involving abusive teacher and a young student.

These are not exactly as you requested, but close enough to try.

If it doesn't fit all my requirements it is ok, I'm pretty relaxed with them, the only things I completely object to under any circumstances are ecchi or hentai.
Thank you to everyone who has given some ideas, I will definitely look into them.
