Maybe it's because I, myself, am a lesbian, but I can't stand most GL out there. 90% of the stories take place in high school, mostly all-girls schools, or in a place where women are surrounded by women. I've spent ages looking for stories that are instead actually about lesbians, specifically adult ones where, no, it's not just some phase. I know Japan as a whole has issues with lesbianism, but it's frustrating to only find BL that addresses homosexuality realistically in the adult life. Basically, not high school, and middle school by default, bs.

So, point of this being.... Does anyone know any realistic or serious GL, preferably ones made by women? Does any even exist?

Yes Octave is for a mature audience on a lesbian relationship. Pieta is dramatic and angsty but well-loved, the leads are in high school.

I would second Kimi Koi Limit; Ebisui-san to Hotai-san. And I pretty much forgot about Lonely wolf Lonely sheep.Wonder why, don't think I didn't like it. Anyway. For the first two I would like to add, that they were not that "angsty"- so this should not stop you, if you don't like angsty stuff

Well. You could also try Futari to Futari, don't thin it fits that well in your searching prifile, though. Still- It's nice and worth reading.
