V.B. Rose (Velvet Blue Rose)
Nana

I recommend both, though I'm sure a lot of people are already reading the second one. *laughs* V.B. Rose is good, it's just that the relationship of the two people are very slow at progressing, but nonetheless is a great read. Give it a try! ^_~

I don't really buy manga, but Empowered might count. From north America.

Eh he he, the first volume of Junjou Romantica. They have a yaoi shelf in the manga section of my bookstore. It's actually the "adult" manga section but its mostly yaoi.

Most recent purchases and their bargains...

Negima v.18 (Borders 25%-off $8.66 )
Ninin Ga Shinobuden 3 (Amazon $4 total, ridiculous!)
Chibi Vampire 8 (Ebay $6.24)
Chibi Vampire 7 (Ebay $6.74)
Tuxedo Gin 7 (Ebay $4.84)

If it weren't for Borders coupons and Ebay I probably wouldn't have a manga collection biggrin

Oh, do tell me how Smuggler was in your opinion, I've read some of Dead End already, but I've yet to read Smuggler. (just looked it up on BD, christ it's cheap!)

Sorry for the delayed response.... I didn't notice (was also a bit busy with work)

If you like Dead End, then you'll probably enjoy smuggler. I think Smuggler is better. The 1volume format works well here... pacing is kept tight. Gritty, vulgar and dark, typical Shohei Manabe. Characters are very 'honest', meaning they ain't typical yakuza one-dimensional types.

As for print quality, typical Tokyopop.... for better or worse. No complaints considering the price.

If you want me to give a score.... I'd rate it 7/10 (Dead-end gets 6).... by my rating system, not MUs. (I'll never give anything a 10) It's not the type of manga everyone will like, but I think you and I will probably find some good reading to be had.

Hope this helps.
