I usually just read parts I find interesting and spend a second on the other parts. I think I never really read all the words.

I can't stand your reading habit. Seriously, when I read a manga I do pay attention to every word unless I'm too tired or something.

Well I compare manga to books like most others. I'll give a good manga or, ones I find interesting, a close read (scrutinizing each word and art) like I would a good novel. However, if it's just a "read to move on" type of manga, let say... Naruto for example, I would just scan for the concept of the chapter, see if any new moves get exposed, so all in all, just enough info so I know what's going on.

I categorise my manga like I do my books into light reads and heavy reads. My light reading, such as Naruto or Bleach, I skim read. I do read every word and look at the art but read each chapter once, maybe twice to refresh my memory sometimes, and then move on. The manga I'm more interested in, make me think more and have deeper plot lines and characters I often re-read several time, spending a while to really take in the manga. Such as Vampire Knight, Number, Nabari no Ou, Death Note, 07 Ghost. Then I have a few like Akuma no Ororon which aren't too heavy but I love to re-read anyway.

That's why I generally skim through everything in Naruto.

Eh. I sometimes skip something, sometimes I don't.

I read every word and sfx but once I am finished a series a week later I barely remember any of the storyline.... with some manga that only have releases every month or so I always have to read back a few chapters just to remember wtf is going on I feel like I am getting old and senile at 20 :x

Really depends on the manga, some just demand my attentions more than others. Don't usually give a chapter a reread unless it has really good art.

The only thing that I can't remember in any manga I read are the names. I have read way too many manga and just can't remember the names. The only ones I do remembers are from some really good ones or the series which I am currently reading.

Manga to me like a book without narrator (mostly), description of place or situation but have a lot of illustration. And with a lot of illustration/picture i can visualize the story/setting easily in mind.
