Hi everyone.
I really liked Evangelion Re-Take and I was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of something similar. Especially by the same author. I can't seem to find any other work from them.
Suggestions appreciated!

First of all, what do you mean with "something similar"? RE-TAKE is a very special manga: It is a non-canonical sequel of one of the most famous series of all times and concluded it in a very satisfactory way. I could recommend you something that has the giant-robot and psychological elements that were depicted in RE-TAKE but I don't think that you could find a series that besides having the same genres as RE-TAKE would be a sequel of a famous pre-existent work that would be similar or equal to evangelion.

In my opinion, RE-TAKE is unique and even if you read another manga with a similar plot it would never be the same because RE-TAKE was made as a sequel of another series. So when you first read it you were already familiarized with the characters and setting of the story which is something that a new series could never do.

Kimimaru has made a lot of works under the Studio Kimigabuchi's circle. Besides RE-TAKE he has also made another Evangelion doujinshi (called Boku no Evangelion) and a Gainax series one that also features Eva, alongside with Top o Nerae, Nadia and Abenobashi Mahou Shoutengai (Super Gainax Festival and Gaina Matsuri). And besides Evangelion, Kimimaru has also made doujinshis of CODE GEASS: : Lelouch of the Rebellion (Code Eross and Code Eross 2), Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni (Higurashi no Naku You ni), Yakitate!! Japan (Ja Ja Ja Ja Japan, Ja Ja Ja Ja Japan 2 and Ja Ja Ja Ja Japan 3), Lost Universe, ToHeart, and Trigun (Love Is Alive), and School Rumble (School Champlu, with art made by WAKA).
And Kimimaru has also worked under the AXZ circle but in it he publishes mostly "original" doujinshis (original characters/plot) like some numbers of the UNDER BLUE series and Her Study but he publishes pre-existent-based doujinshis works too (Featuring series like FMA, Noir and ROD in them).

But of all of them the only series that could fulfill some of your requirements would be Negimaru! (based on the manga Mahou Sensei Negima!). This one, (alongside with RE-TAKE of course) seems to be the only series that had been scanlated (and also is one of the most popular works of Kimimaru and the Kimigabuchi circle.) For more information about Negimaru! see this thread.

And just to clarify: all the works mentioned above are seijinshi doujinshis (doujinshis (Self-published mangas) with explicit sexual content that are aimed at mature readers).
