Oh yeah Animax, when I went to visit family in India I remember watching Full Metal Alchemist. I think I read an article on animenewnetwork a year or two ago talking about anime in India. Oh by the way I usually say I'm a middle eastern mutt but family goes more with being Indian. Southern, from Hyderabad. Born and raised in the USA though. Yeah, someone posted I think on page 2 and Indian category link. Be sure to check that out.

Hayate the Combat Butler has a rarely appearing side Indian character, Sharna Alamgir as well.

If you don't mind webtoons, I think Kubera draws a lot from Indian mythology and such; especially in the naming of the characters. Not set in India though, it's in an alternate universe. It's pretty interesting but the size of the cast is fearsome.
Btw it's nice to see so many people from the Indian Subcontinent who are into manga/anime.
Now if only I knew any personally......

I am also a Sri Lankan Tamil otaku. It's once in a red moon for me to find a Sri Lankan who loves, or at least obsessed with the animation world as much as me. Even my username 'naragam' means hell in Tamil. It is unrelated to this topic, but when I was much younger upon watching anime and reading manga, I used to believe that the majority of the Japanese, Koreans, and Chinese have non-brown eye and hair colour.
