I have always avoided esper/guide stories because I thought they were cheesy and I just couldn't get into them. However I just read 8 chapters of Guiding Hazard and I think I'm willing to give the genre another shot.
I'm not asking for anything necessarily as good as Guiding Hazard, just manga/webtoons in this genre that you'd recommend for a newcomer to the category.
To my limited understanding, this is a trope in which esper and guide are roles in society. The esper has magic powers and they need a guide to help them somehow. And that's it I guess? Idk obviously I'm the newbie here.
Ok thx bye!

there's not many tagged on MU, but look through the guideverse tag.
it's a manhua and not korean, but Zhong Qing is guideverse and has some nice art at the very least, everything aside.

Yeah you're gonna be hard-pressed to find really good guideverse stuff, the trope itself is so incredible that it's a crying shame there aren't more quality stories!! And YES Guiding Hazard is such a treat of a read TTuTT
B-Grade Guide is a favourite of mine
- funny
- (relatively) many female charas
- an experienced, jaded, assertive protag!
but it comes with it's own warnings (gaslighting!!!) although truth be told I'm Into That Shit so the toxicity is actually a plus imo but ymmv ofc
Civilian A is a pretty solid choice, too. The art is nice and the dynamic is cute.

Have you read Profundis? That's a good one. It's quite dark, though. Nothing like Guiding Hazard.

I'd recommend "The Night Beyond the Tricornered Window" or Sankaku Mado no Sotogawa wa Yoru by Yamashita Tomoko. Everything from the themes, plot, characters, conflict, to the tones of the story are very well written. It's such an excellent read! If you love horror-mystery-supernatural genre, you might wanna give it a try. All ten volumes have been licensed by Sublime and it's also been adapted to anime series.
