I'm tempted to call you tofuqueen no baa chan. Hahaha.
Errrr my Japanese is pretty minimal, but wouldn’t that be calling me “Tofuqueen’s grandmother”??

I can't believe I would meet someone here who went to college twice. Didn't get enough the first time eh.
Heh…not…exactly… >_> More like, the first time I didn’t study something that would help me get a good job, so after a while I went back.

Hmmm...Are you gonna introduce your kids to manga? If so will you read manga together?
Already have, we actually started reading manga at the same time via a random volume of
Ranma ½ from the public library. My boys are 11; they read mostly shounen stuff (
One Piece,
Case Closed, etc.) but they’re also enjoying
Skip Beat! a lot. Honestly, I don’t see what’s odd about reading the same things your kids read (unless it’s the really sexual stuff, that would be kind of…creepy….). It’s not like we all sit together on the couch & read the same book at the same time anymore, like we did with that first volume of
Ranma 1/2 when the boys weren’t reading that well yet, but we do all read a lot of the same books.
Tests...ugh...they can be sooo far off. When I went to college (the first time), they tried to place me in a calculus class my first semester because of my SAT score - even though the highest math I'd had in high school was Algebra II, and I took no math at all senior year. I would have failed calculus miserably (math is NOT my thing!). I'm just a "good test taker", which makes it look like I know more than I do.
