My first shoujo manga was Sailor Moon, but I only read when my sister had brought home so I only read 2 "volumes" (its was like magazine styled back then). My first official shoujo manga that I read all the way through was Kodocha

Chibi Maruko-chan is my FIRST SHOUJO (probably shojo) manga that I've read.

Sailormoon doesn't count since I first watched the anime before the manga.

7200 Byou no Romance and Aries. Those were the first shoujo manga I actually seriously read and finished, not just had a glance at a few pages. I still think they are better than many shoujo titles today.

Last year, around January I've started reading shojo. he first one I pick was fruits basket to see what was the fuss about, and I liked it. However the first shojo I finished was Marmalade Boy ( I assure you I kind of espected that to be about food at first because of the title). But along this year I've read several shojo mangas and some of them are good. I still prefer seinen and shounen but a story from the point of view of a girl isn't something bad. Nowadays I'm reading Aiko Desho ( I think is shojo, but not too sure) and I like it.

Hot Gimmick.
I was at the library one day looking for some comics to read (the simpsons ones, lol) when I saw this and I read the back and it seemed interesting. So I read it, and it was kind of confusing at first, but it was so so so good! Little did I know this would start my addiction to manga, lol. The library didnt have any of the other volumes, so I googled it (as google is my best friend.. ) and I found.. you could read manga online =O and well, yeah, thats the first manga I ever read and how it got me into manga in general lol. hot gimmick is still one of my favourite mangas. =D

Pretear - I saw the anime and loved it, and found out on Wikipedia that the manga was somewhat different, so I went to buy it. I went berserk on manga after that. biggrin

I remember looking at a Sailor Moon volume one day several years before this, but I didn't buy it. I remember thinking it was odd that Sailor Pluto's name was Setsuna instead of Trista. This was way before I realized what manga was and that it usually came before the anime.

EDIT:
Quote from Hermit-chan

Well, if we're not counting manga for which we first saw the anime, then that skips Pretear and Fruits Basket and Ouran High School Host Club. Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle is my first manga without having seen the anime, but that's shounen, so the first shoujo manga without having seen an anime first was Meru Puri.

Fruits Basket I think. I'm not sure. I can't remember @_@ I do remember hunting high and low for it. I also remember it was the first one I followed religiously.

Fushigi Yuugi was the first Shoujo manga (and also the very first manga) I read. I brought it as a birthday present about 4 years ago and I really like the manga.

...not counting all the Yuri and Shoujo-ai I've read.., I believe Cat Street was probably the first real shoujo manga I read all the way though.
