If I don't read some manga and/or watch some anime every day, I feel unfulfilled. If that makes me an addict, then, hey, I'm an addict!
Although, anime takes the place of crappy TV. And manga is amongst the normal reading I do every day. So, maybe not.

I don't really think anime or manga is addicting even though I probably watch more than 2h a day there's simply nothing better to do so you resort anime/manga. I would go out ride inlines but there's too much sand and it's cold =(

it's life (?)

i still remember when Dragon Ball was published back when i was at 10/11 yrs of age. since then i've been involved in the reading of manga. back then, the internet was a luxury, so im not exposed to many available manga online and so what i had were somewhat limited.
im now 25, its been more than half of my life that i couldnt spent without having a page of manga. to say it is addictive, i dont noe. is it? some ppl may agree. im not a socio-conscious person @ anti - social (i do not blame manga on this) nor i am close with my parents and siblings. however, manga have helped me in getting my issues over..
my view of manga is as a close pal. it is where emotions are shared. many manga are based on real life perspective and provide a positive attitude towards life. "nakama", "work hard", "you can do it", "i believe in you" are all the positive motivation one need even he has no real friend..
in many occasions, i laugh and smile reading 'em.. (n_n)

Manga is just a hobby, I suppose. It definitely does not consume my life, but it does keep me entertained.

I don't think that growing was what they meant by that. Or maybe they do. laugh

As for manga/anime... just something to do when bored, to kill time and be unproductive.

Most definitely like water and oxygen.

I'm totally an otaku >.>...It's funny because when you look at me, you can't even tell how obsessed with anime/manga I am ^_^;; Err, at least until you see me fangirl...then I'm scary! I love creeping my friends out that way laugh

Half my friends don't even know how much I'm into it or that I'm constantly thinking about it. It sucks cuz I don't know that many people to talk to about it cry
