If a scanlation (quality=7) is released and I know that a few hours later there is a scanlation that is a quality=9 I wait those few hours.
If a scanlation (quality=7) is released and I know that a week later there is a scanlation that is a quality=9 I will not wait and read the faster scanlation.
While if a scanlation (quality=2) is released and I know that a few weeks later there is a scanlation that is a quality=9 I will wait for the quality version.
It all depends on the difference in quality and the difference in speed.
Also a lot of projects I loved were abandoned so I would even take very low quality scanlations for those.
On the other hand if its a project that I just kinda liked and there are only low quality scanlations I just put the entire series on hold till something better comes along.
But on the mangapirate case, if another group has an very active project (weekly releases) and don't do weird stuff (really obnoxious watermarks and unneeded delays) then it's just rude and an assholey move to try and highjack the project. Especially when there are so many great series that are not worked on at the moment.(Q.E.D. for example.)

Pretty much the point of every group that is hindered by youni's halfassed translation for making money faster. With him only option 3 exist(not reading the series at all , so always having poor translations , because the meaning if distorted , from what the author wanted to say and how to translate it in english ; poor editing skills if any are present at all ; no proofreading to the bad translation ; whats more his claims of quality checking staff are just funnier than how much his work sucks)

All these series manga/webtoon/manhua etc etc you guys are translating? THEY AREN'T YOURS. lol. Get it through your head that you are all thieves stealing the authors' work without their permission, and maybe you wont be so butthurt when another thief (aka. us) comes and steals the same thing.
Scanlator Code of Conduct? the hell are you guys smoking... you need to wake up. And all the trolls on our site, just keep on trollin' and make asses of yourselves haha. We welcome the funny hate comments, just makes our day reading about you guys being butthurt.

obviously as always you have no idea what you are talking about , scanlating itself is neither theft or illegal, authors pretty much have no rights over their series and so on...
re-distributing it on sites like yours is the major point of conflict , its the same reason why tbnw's author was angry for scanlations , because he saw his work at mangafox getting money to someone unrelated(kinda what you do)
but even if we put that aside , its funny how the ones that usually go by stealing for profit can only bring this one argument you brought to our attention (legality of the scanlation as whole) , which pretty much says that you are okay with stealing as long as only you profit and not the ones that put the long hours of work behind
although i dont like what vendetta did , as long as its one time thingy its not bad , many groups have done such mistakes based on lack of communication or falsely spread rumors , so judging them for 1 release is not okay , but if they repeat then its another issue
