Hourou Musuko. It's just such an involving manga that portrays kids and not just kids, but kids with gender identity issues in SUCH a realistic way. The problems these characters face are all things someone would face in the real world and they all have realistic consequences. It's so down to earth and always feels like things are changing. And it has a steady progression so it really ends up feeling like life; life goes on.

Kiss Me Princess (a.k.a Boy Princess) It's such a fanciful, fantastical story that is very romantic. At first they don't like each other at all (lol of course they don't it's manga/manhwa) but they begin to care for each throughout the series. When they actually begin loving each there are forces that threaten to pull them apart and their devotion and love for each other is very touching. This series moved me a lot.

Little Butterfly. It's been a while since I read it, but I remember the feelings of wonder that it gave me. The characters were fleshed out and their flaws were realistic, thus relatable. I felt such a connection to the two characters and the story's pacing was really good.

Haruka na Machi e. This manga is, sadly, not very well known. I wasn't very attracted to the plot at first, but this is one of the most different manga I've ever read. It is very deep and involving and does an amazing job of immersing you in the time period. It's also great to see the main character evolve from a sad middle aged man to a guy who learns to appreciate what he has. It is a manga that grounds itself in realism, which is where it's real strength and beauty lies.

Harem de Hitori. Although just a series of oneshots, this book was amazing. It's a series of fantasy stories with that are just too cute to resist. They're so full of heart and they are very beautifully drawn. But I think I just like them because they are SO DAMN CUTE!!! 🤣

- Ai Hime ~ Ai to Himegoto - the first romance manga that I re-read straight after I finished it.
- TMD
- Prince of Tennis
- Mononoke - the anime anyway. (btw, this is not Princess Mononoke, but the actual manga called Mononoke) Everyone should watch this.
EDIT: 1) Shiawase Kissa Sanchoume should probably be up here too
I can think of a lot of others, but there's too many to put down here. (and no, I didn't make a mistake, these are all as good as each other but in different ways)

I rate manga with 5 being the average score.

Full Metal Alchemist
Because it's the best. End of discussion.
Others that I can think of off the top of my head, in no particular order:
One Piece Besides being amazing, it gets the top five treatment because I am hopelessly in love with Red-Haired Shanks.
Dragon Ball / DragonBall Z (counted as one long series) Because of nostalgia, general love of all the characters, and because Vegeta is Vegeta.
Yotsubato! This series is so cute and hilarious it makes my whole day better.
Otomen Although probably predictable, I'm just a sucker for this kind of series.

Don't think I've read enough to have a top 5 really. (I have slow internet therefore can't read much)
-
Fruits Basket- I absoutely love this series. The manga puts the anime to shame every time I watch the anime it makes me cringe because the manga is just awesome. It's so happy and filled with lots of characters that you fall in love with. 🙂
-
Bleach- I just love it. I love the characters I love the story and I'm always awaiting for what's next.
-
Hellsing- Who doesn't love a story like that?
-
Vampire Knight- Actually my first manga to start reading. I still love it but not my favorite anymore.
