I'm lookin' for a manga about Alexander the Great 😃 😀
Preferably shojo but seinen, josei is okay too.
Also, help with historical mangas 😕 ? 😁
I want to read MORE historical mangas.
I've read
-Tsuki no Shippo
-Dear My Girls
-Gekka no Kimi
-Absolute Witch
-Apothecarius Argentum
-Ciel
-Evyione
-FY and FY:GK
-Kaguya Hime
-Kuroshitsuji
-Lingerie
-NG Life
-Oiran Girl (and all mangas related to geishas, courtesans, etc.)
-Kaze Hikaru (and all mangas related to the Shinsengumi 😉 )
-Ouke no Monshou and Red River (and everything by their respective authors.)
-Princess
-Pansy, Georgie (and all those little girls with sparkly eyes)
-Ryou (and everything by Ueda Rinko)
-Sakura Hime Kaden (practically everything related to Kaguya)
-Dragon Knight
-Hanatsukihime
-Everything by Kayono and Yuki Kaori
-Crazy Girl Shin Bia (and every scanlated hsitorical by Hwang Mi Ri)
-Savage Garden
-Zettai Heiwa something something. 😕 sorry i forgot the rest
So any other good ones? Like definetely no yaoi or yuri. smut, heavy smut is okay. and they must be good looking, the art I mean. 😉
And btw, I've been considering Versailles no Bara for 2 years now. I just dont know if it's good or what. I like gender benders but they say it has shojo ai or something. Is it any good for me to read it considering the ones I've read above?
Thank you in advance

A search of "historical" on my lists has turned up these (that I didn't notice in your examples). Some are feudal Japan style, some are more European, some more "Middle Age," lots are fantasy and historical, and so forth. Naturally, some of them are better than others. I've * some that I particularly enjoyed, but it is a matter of taste. Anyway, hope this helps some.
Divine Melody*
Emma*
Miriam*
Real Fake Princess
Waltz wa Shiroi Dress de
Yoru no Kakaku
Knight Princess*
Migawari Hakushaku no Bouken
Otomegatari*
Yumekui Kenbun
Hakushaku to Yousei
Hana no Hime
Makai Ouji: Devils and Realist
Oooku
Saiunkoku Monogatari*
Sarasah*
Sengoku Youko*
Shura Yukihime
Tactics*
The Change!*

Oooh. How could I've forgotten to put Saiunkoku and Ooku (I've read them too) 😮 Also, I've read Emma, Migawari Hakushakuand Hakushaku to Yousei. (Damn, I've read so many mangas I lose track of what I've read for the past two years even when I have started my lists.)
So like anyway, Basara is still in my Wish List, so is Otomegatari (it's seinen i think, and that gives me a hard time to consider reading it).
Divine Melody is manhua, isn't it? :S 😔
I don't like Miriam (for me it's like Pansy, Georgie and all those girls in a cowboy story) 🤨
Also Waltz wa shiroi Dress de.....I dont like the art 😀
Currently reading Sarasah (as of two days ago).
I've already watched the anime of Tactics too.
And all the others are shounen so I kinda dont really like it 🙁
Sorry, really picky about what I read. 😔
So like anyway, thanks for all the suggestions 😀
I really appreciate it. I'll try some of 'em.

Edit: Shonen AND seinen historical mangas arent my type (except Samurai Deeper Kyou and maybe Otomegatari, oh Cesare too.) But aside from those, please exclude shonen and seinen in your suggestions 😀
Thanks anyway 🙂

Bronze no Tenshi loosely using the Russian poet Aleksander Pushkin
Tsuki no Waltz
Yokohama Monogatari and anything by YAMATO Waki
Alpine Rose and some of other AKAISHI Michiyo's works
Anata ga Ireba the modern version of Princess Kaguya who reincarnated (the story about her past included)
Pygmalio may not be shojo but I still enjoy it thoroughly
Mademoiselle Butterfly
Lady Mitsuko based on a true story
Yami no Alexandra
Not sure if you can read the raws bu these are good stuff:
Bichunmoo
Four Daughters of Armian
Orpheus no Mado
Oh and by the way, I don't usually read shoujo-ai but I still think Versailles no Bara is awesome. The shoujo-ai is mild, in my opinion.
Help! I'm looking for... manga with dangerous guys http://www.mangaupdates.com/showtopic.php?tid=39874&page=1#post594033
I'm not sure what historical sense you meant. A period piece, or something actually related to a real historical figure or event? I haven't read pretty much anything off of your list because I find 95% of shoujo boring as hell. A lot of them look like fantasy. I'll assume both are okay?
Based on historical figures/events:
Ludwig II It's about the 'mad king' of Bavaria (who is actually fascinating to read about outside of manga too.)
Princess Diana It's about Princess Diana. This series is so bad it's actually funny, I'd recommend it.
Butterfly Lovers is a comic adaptation of the Chinese legend Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai. Think of it kind of like Romeo and Juliet.
Sui Tang Heroes Is another story set in ancient China.
The Black Cat Is based off of Edgar Allan Poe's story of the same name.
A Night of a Thousand Dreams Is a retelling of Scheherazade and the 1001 knights. Art is lovely.
Anne of Green Gables, [m] Anne's Youth[/m], and Anne of the Island are all manga adaptations of the classic Anne of Green Gables series.
Fushigi Yuugi a story of a girl pulled into another world that resembles the ancient far east.

I've pretty much read all of that too 😀 Except Anne of Green Gables, Princess Diana and Ludwig II (i dont like yaoi). Though thanks for the suggestions. And I'm a shoujo freak. I'm really ver picky when it comes to seinen/josei.
