^ ugh, thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiis. no

Defensive teams are winning this and I'm not liking this.

Well , you know , football isn't all about offense and dribles and stuff. Those are just part of it ( yeah , I know these are the money and people bringers , but what good are they if you loose). The major factor is strategy and tactics. And defensive football IS a strategy. Heck if you don't like it and can't win against it using your ordinary plays , then you can hope you get lucky or that your offensive line has more than the oponent's defensive. Either that or you change your plans. Simple

Ofcourse defensive football is a strategy and Mourinho is the master of defensive football and that is the reason why Inter Milan won the treble this time around. However that doesn't mean you have to like it and moreover the beautfiul game isn't meant to be played that way but heck who cares as long as you win right. Instead of saying they are playing really defensive and negative football I guess you could say that the offensive part of the opposing team wasn't good enough. Anyways the germans let slip too many chances plus refereez was an asshole for giving out way too many cards. Klose didn't deserve to be sent off after two mediocre challenges.

So you say . But guess what. Defensive football can be defeated. And if the oponent plays defensive football then simply change your strategy momentarly till you break them , and they'll have no choice but to abandon teir defense , therefore allowing you to play your so favorite offensive football . If your team can't do that , then I'm sorry to say that it is due to either the coach or the players inability to adjust to the game.
Did you see how Argentina scored the first two goals to Korea? What did the Korean do after that? And it wasn't simply luck or talent that allowed those 2 goals but smart plays

The problem with momentarily changing your strategy to counter the opposing team's defensive strategy is that if you go too offensive then there is a greater risk of counter attacks working out for you. Also Argentina's first goal against Korea was a case of luck with korea scoring an own goal, that is not smart play. The first goal opened up the game. Korea is also not that well known for its defense. I think the barcelona versus inter milan game in the european championship game just showed how powerful a defensive strategy is. Barcelona is arguably the best attacking team in the world and their plays are well constructed yet they were thrwarted by an inter milan team that were made up of 10 men and had all 10 men behind its half. Ofcourse defensive strategy can be thwarted but it involves a great deal of risk as you have to commit players offensive which opens up your team to a counter attack.

I'm liking the fact that it's so unpredictable, It's pretty obvious that France are going out, even though Ireland should of been there in France's place, but I'm thinking that we might be seeing some huge upsets in the group stage phase. And if Klose can't have that red card rescinded then Fifa should just get F**ked. That is some of the worst refereeing I've seen and with the referees doing a good job at this World Cup so far I just think it was a shame to see.

That referee was so FRIGGIN' lousy. <_<

USA should've gotten that 3rd goal.
But oh well, it was a draw, I'm happy, they came back from 0-2.
Very interesting game. (:

QTF. USA should be sitting on top of Group C with 4 points instead of Slovenia. Still, good comeback by USA to get a tie and keep their chances alive to advance to the next round. However, they're gonna have to do something they haven't done before, get points in the final game of the group stage. And they can't settle for 1 measly point. They need to beat Algeria.

NO england should be at the top!(i'm not patriotic or anything, it just should be from the looks) And the usa were supposed to be up, 3-2. That was their goal. Replay shows it too....but i think that referee was too trigar happy. laugh Bad luck.

I wan't to see brazil loose to ivory coast and portugal and get knocked out in group qualifiers. That will kill peoples expectations for any teams laugh

I'm hoping for lots of goals against Algeria, but I can just see them defending like crazy.

I already knew that the offsides rule was bullshit before this game started, but COME ON...mad

Plus, the way that Slovenian player held Bradley during that free kick was blatantly obvious.

Refs clearly don't like FREEDOMBALL. laugh

Well, if England wins this match, which they probably will, then yea they deserve to be on top. I was just saying, at the moment, USA should have been on top with 4 points since England has yet to play their match.

Either way, that ref sucks, and that's all that matters.

Finally, after a lousy game against Ghana much better performance from Serbian team. Now we cheer for Australia to beat, or even better tie, against Ghana and with the win in 3rd game we're off to second round.
I feel bad for Slovenia losing their lead against USA but they we're poor in 2nd half. Ref clearly damaged Americans for a goal but that's football for ya'.
Greetings from Serbia!

The German's still had enough chances to win the game even though Klose was sent off, they just weren't clinical enough. Also who would of thought that a German would miss a penalty. Anyway England are playing pretty crap right now, Lampard is playing crap and Lennon's playing crap. Johnson can't even defend. I just hope things change for the second half. Maybe putting Joe Cole, Defoe or Wright-Phillips on, just to inject something into the game, because at the moment this England side look a shadow of the England team that qualified.
