I agree that FMA's ending kinda sucked, I hate when series that have been mostly cheerful and funny suddenly have really horrible endings.
if you're talking about the anime i completely agree!
after all that had happened i had hoped that they could have shared al's return to his normal body together, and not being seperated in the two worlds/dimensions

Don't double post. Hate to be "that guy", but rules are rules.
Also would've agreed w/ most people who said Bitter Virgin b/c the ending was very underwhelming (it was only as long as an average chap) and still a bit depressing; but once someone at Onemanga broke it down and explained what it really meant it became more bearable (not to the point that it didn't seem as half-assed as it really was).

I hated the end of Furuba. The fun little fantasy became a melodramatic angst-fest lacking all semblance of a plot.

The end of Bitter Virgin was a bit dissapointing; it was too open-ended. Sure, that's realistic, but I wanted to see the couple happy at the end.
And the end of Ludwig Kakumei. It was a bit too rushed, didn't tie the story together, and I wanted more from the series. So much more potential...
All endings make me sad, but usually I like whatever the manga-ka comes up with.

I remember thinking that Chobits had a really bad ending. The main guy is in love with a computer and he's always going to be a virgin. That just sucks.

Shinshi Doumei Cross was just kind of dumb. The last quarter of the manga I keep thinking to myself, This is dumb, why do I keep reading? Yet I finished it. I truly do not get the hype for this manga. The ending was rushed and jumbled and quite honestly, I didn't really get it.
Zettai Kareshi - I didn't like that Riiko
sort of got to choose both guys. It felt like a cop-out. Plus the whole idea of consciously choosing a robot boy-friend over a real human? sad. just sad.
😔
I agree with those. Especially Shinshi Cross. I mean wth? She wants both of the twins. Ok, no that's stupid. And then she gets married with Tanakari. Oh yes great a sugar coated happy ending

Ouch that sucks for him lol
Kurokami
The animation btw. I hated how Keita ended up marrying Akane. Wth? She was like his big sister! Then Kuro just lives the rest of her like in the Pureplace until Keita dies. >:-(

Definitely Hikaru no Go (it could have become really great, at easy double the volumes it got)
Also Ultra Red, was just to short like an intro. Death Note could have given birth to a new Kira, endless possibilities with that one...

Boku no Futatsu no Tsubasa - What can I say? The first part was so exciting w/ a new take on the whole gender-bender/harem thing. The romance was sweet and angsty. sigh But then came chap 25 and after everything went downhill. The last 2 chapters actually offended me by how bad they were. >:-(

Dragonhead - No real ending. It just stops. Perhaps the manga-ka got bored or lost all creativity to explore the story further.
Hot Gimmick - Why did I ever pick up this title? It's superficial and contrived.
You've got a ditsy heroine, the childhood friend that wants to rape her, the neighbor who wants to own her, and the brother who wants to play "Oh, Oniichan!" with her when their folks aren't looking. The only remotely enjoyable characters were Subaru and Akane, as underdeveloped as they were. But you really can't expect too much from this manga-ka"
Ranma 1/2 - I read 38 volumes for that ending?
Naruto - Okay, so it's actually still going, but my point is that this is a series that just needs to end. Enough already! Just how dead can you beat an archetype?
Inversely, the manga ending I was most satisfied with was Please Save My Earth. How ironic it is for me to state this in spite of the fact that it's story continues in a sequel work.
Outside of a dog a book is a man's bestfriend, inside of a dog it's too dark to read.

And I also agree with the people who said Rust Blaster, Bitter Virgin & Blue Dragon Gal Rado.
Simply another normal human being...

MxO and Pretty Face come immediately to mind. MxO should've had at least one more chapter to see if Kuzumi at least confessed to Hiiragi and her response. The way it ended you as the reader don't even know if he even returned his school.
Pretty Face I feel needed probably an entire volume to tie up all the loose ends. Sure Randou and Rina did confess their feelings for each other in that one chapter where he returned to school temporarily as a guy. But the way it ended didn't even leave the feeling that he ever returned to being Randou. Also, did he ever locate his parents? Do they know their son is still alive? Too many loose ends for anything even approaching a conclusion.
A few people in this thread have brought up Aishiteruze Baby. While I agree that the ending wasn't very satisfying with the the whole feeling that Kippei and Yuzuyu perhaps didn't see each other in all those years I am reminded of something mentioned towards the middle of the series. Shortly after finding out where Yuzuyu's mom had run off to, I recall a conversation where Kippei's older sister mentioned that they weren't rich enough to travel to find her, that lead me to believe that Yuzuyu and her mother lived far enough away that it wouldn't be terribly easy to just go see her. Frankly the biggest loose end to me was the Kippei-Kokoro relationship.

I agree to them 100%
DRRR! - I wish they would have wrapped it up more... like, it just... ended... well it wasn't that great of an ending to me. :/
Zegapain - The ending was ambiguous.
Can't think of any bad manga endings atm, but I know there are some...
