I do, but I try to stay away from mental illnesses. I've looked up a few things that were confirmed once I went to the doctor such as a sore throat, or a cavity... >.>
Anyway, the things I look up are usually small, like is it the flu or a cold and such. Or look up the pills that could substitute the ones I'm currently taking after they run out... things of that sort.

Huh... not me, personally, since when I get sick it's usually just a common cold, fever, or flu . But my mom can get pretty worried about us and herself, and she's told us to check up on various symptoms and problems online before.

I used to be an online hypochondriac. During this time I experienced symptoms in my body brought on by my own stress/anxiety.
I would look up the symptoms and find a dozen or so serious health problems that matched what I was feeling (none of which I had).
Some of those sites had me believing that I was about to keel over at age 19. It doesn't help that when you search for a symptom, most sites seem to list the deadliest nastiest possibilities first, before the more mild (and probable) possibilities.
Anyway, I don't have anxiety attacks anymore. My take on self-diagnosing is that it can be a good thing, just don't worry yourself sick and assume the worst.
Cheers.

Not an illness, but after I talked to someone who is studying psychology and said I may have synesthesia I looked into it, and most likely do
