Are there any manga where the heroine supports herself financially?
I want one with romance but it is fine if it isn't.

Also it doesn't matter if she is a high school student or a working adult.

Edit: Suggestions for heroine living alone is fine, too.

Skip Beat if you haven't read it is pretty epic.
Hapi Mari is another one as well.
Tokyo Crazy Paradise is phenomenal...she works to support herself and it drives the beginning plot for all sorts of fun shenanigans...it's very cool.
Basara is amazing, it's a fantasy work, not contemporary but the heroine defin. drives the plot.
Kimi wa Pet, the heroine supports herself.
Basically a lot in the josei category will fit what you are looking for as well as have the additional romance element.
If you don't mind a little maturity, most of Yoshihara Yuki's works have heroines who are financially independent.
