Not a bad list of top characters if I do say so myself. Though I am a bit intrigued by Wario since I found him to be a bit clumsy with a very short reach, but I guess he doesnt really suit my style of gameplay very well anyways.


I would say my best characters right now in no particular order are Mario, Shiek, Kirby, Lucas, Wolf, and Luigi. Though I can use pretty much any non heavyweight character pretty well, except for Sonic and Meta-Knight.


Lucas is incrediby fun because of his PK Thunder, just try using it to edge guard, two hits at around 60% damage and any opponent between the edge of the stage and and the edge of the screen will die for sure, and its easy to control.

<_< Tid fact on Lucas... He's overpowered... his up smash is wicked and covers quite a distance from the sides and upward... his up B is hard to stop unlike Ness where you could jump in before it touches Him and it disappears... And his hair has too much gel in it.

As for Sonic... He just sucks... Why'd nintendo put him in the game?

Aside from that... <_< I could play just about any character except for Sonic and Snake... Sonic is a no duh... and Snake is not my forte....

Lucus isnt quite that overpowered, at least hes incredibly vulnerable after his up smash and it does take forever to charge. I dont rate it much better if any better than Ike's up smash.

Also his up b is kind of how it should be, I mean it is kind of too easy to go down so easily as Ness.


But yeah, Lucas is definitely an upper tier character, though its nice that hes not so noob friendly with his rather odd feel.


Snake really isnt that bad, and you shouldnt have too much trouble using him as long as you remember to tilt when you would otherwise use a smash attack with other characters. His down b is quite fun though, as it can be planted on opponents like a gooey bomb if you are close enough.

Also I dont know if its just me, or is Dedede really just terrible, his recovery leaves you incredibly vulnerable and hes so damn slow. Not to mention his floating jumps pretty much invite meteors.

Yes, Dedede is terrible. I tried using him when I was forced to when I was playing Subspace Emissary, which turned out disastrous. And Sonic is fine if you can figure out how to use him, like my brother.

I still prefer the GameCube controller, but the Wii controller works well if you get used to it. Actually, my friends claim that it's easier to jump, move, and attack at the same time because more functions are divided among different buttons.

After reading some stuff online about how amazing ROB is, I have started to pick him up and he really is pretty amazing. My edge guarding game has moved completely off of the edge, I guess you could describe ROB as a Jigglypuff with long arms and lots of fire. Hes really fun though since 3 of his aerials pretty much totally mess with your momentum (you can even use his back air to aid recovery), his neutral air is just so freaky it seems to hit people every time since the timing is so delayed and one spot gets hit two times.

After playing with him a bit I would say he is probably tied right now with Falco as my best character. Though if I can master Falco's d- grab > dair combo I think he will retake his position as number one for me, but that combo is really tough to do reliably.


Either way I found a video of the BEST Brawl glitch to date. I just busted out laughing. Its great and its only a 10 second video.

My main problem with ROB is that his final smash is practically useless unless you get a mega mushroom. Too easy to avoid!

And what exactly is the glitch?

I dont play with Final Smashes so it doesnt really bother me. In fact I dont play with items at all. I like tournament style matches with simple stages and no items.


A Falcon Punch definitely shouldnt send Captain Falcon sliding across the stage. I also found another glitch video thats also pretty amazing. Not nearly as funny but my god its crazy.

I finally got it mwa ha ha ha! I'm Australian so it was an ordeal to get it and get it working >_>

They nerfed Jigglypuff's best move, that makes me sad. Rest KOs amused me greatly.
I don't mind pokemon trainer, Charizard is a boss killer. Rock smash is great XD. Snake is weird.

Not sure who I'll main as, I should probably move on from pikachu but I dont want to go the same as everyone else (like people did with fox/falco and to a lesser ectent shiek in SSBM). Think most people will end up as Wolf or Metaknight as fox/falco are no longer made of lead..
Also Ike is a tank

<--- doesn't like final smashes either, but items are necessary for me. i love the ko's from hurling a pill capsule from across the stage.

@senefen- why move on from pikachu? personally i dont see why more ppl don't play him(quick smashes, excellent recovery, small, etc)

Plus Pikachu has a chain grab that can get your opponent up to about 40% damage. It works on most if not all characters, and its not really hard to do (its his down throw).

Also Pikachu has an amazing down smash now and the time you are open for after doing Thunder has gone down significantly.
