Seems like it happens a lot in manga.

I guess it would happen more frequently in places like Japan or Korea where students spend most of their time with one sensei but I thought I would ask.

Ironically I never did when I was in Korea (because all the teachers I had were really old =P), but I had a crush on my 7th grade math teacher after coming to US
She was really kind and helped me a bit when I was learning English.
But then she moved to a different state after getting married lol...

Anyhow... Have you ever had a crush on your sensei?

she was my civics/economics teacher.

Yes, I had a crush on my history teacher. The woman was brilliant, intelligent and.. eh, I enjoyed talking to her, then I developed a crush on her. It was during my last year of secondary school. Now I remember her with fondness, 's all.

Hm, and another crush on another history teacher in my middle school. Three long years of a funny crush while being teacher's pet. Yeah ^^'

Well...my whole group ( studies ) went crazy after one of our drs...He was intelligent, handsome and extremely...absent-minded.

Once when I came to his desk:
Me: Good mornig, can I have a minute?
Him: Sure, go on.
Me: I'd like to ask for the final signature from your classes.
Him: Your from biotechnology or biology?
Me: Biotechnology.
Him: I have classes with you?!
Me: Uhm...yes. Analytic genetics.
Him: Oh...
*after a minute of messing with some papers on his desk*
Him: Could you come back tomorrow?

After that, the guy has lost some fans.
He gets more handsome every year, though...

I've had like 3 teacher crush in my life both my english teacher in 6th and 7th grade were young and beautiful ladies, like 24 years old and now i kind of like my japanese teacher but nothing serious she is in her mid 20s too and is really cute and kind. Im 19 but its not like im gonna ask her out

lol interesting thread. Ive never had a crush per se on a teacher, but i do currently find my calc 2 teacher to be one of the coolest people in existance. so some sort of love there for me

nah. I don't think so. none of my teachers were my type. all this stuff with teachers and kids getting together never would have happen while I was in grade school, the teachers weren't hot enough....

Naw. I only had 3 male teachers in my entire school life. The age difference was too much, also they weren't my type and non of them were good lookin'. In case your wondering I'm a female. xD

But what really bothers me about how often it happens in manga is how often it seems to 'work out', so to speak. That wouldn't even begin to work out in the US. Teachers are fired for even the slightest suspicion of a relationship, and since 18 is the legal age for a sexual relationship, it's all set up for failure.
I also always feel like the teacher is taking advantage of the student in those mangas. The usually female student always seems a little stupid (innocent is the correct term...), and the teacher doesn't ever seem to be resisting for more than a couple panels.

yeah once, long time ago.

thought it was a crush, turns out it was admiration. ended when a girl snatched my diary and read about it, then spread it about. it was pretty awkward till the end of year (he left after that year so i got spared). still fond of him though, i think he's one of my coolest teachers.

other then him though the rest of my teachers were either really old or had kids in my class O_o (sometimes both )
