I love the way you put it, no one quite put it that way since there are shoujos where the guy does fall in love first but its like force or worse kinda thing so yours is the kind that makes sense...theres nothing more adorable than a nice guy trying to do his best in a shoujo-of the few that i can tolerate..

My recommendation is in a way Peach Girl though theres a falling out in the middle ..how about swan lake?guy is playboy but he is lovable playful kind...

I also suggest Kaichou wa Maid-sama. He falls in love with her first, but I'm not sure if you would consider him "sweet."
