Heya,

I would like a series that is like Gantz or Trigun, meaning,
-set in the present or future
-no training arcs or set teams of the same characters
-barely any school stuff, preferably none at all,
-fun and realistic characters,
-interesting fights and action,
-most of all, characters acting realistically in dire situations

Have you tried Battle Angel Alita or Blame!?

They're both dark, gritty sci-fis. BAA in particular has some very well made characters

The sequal to Dogs: Bullets & Carnage that Comel mentioned is also quite good: Dogs.
