I love shounen. Well, most of it. There are some I think are horrible (Mainly Naruto and Bleach).
Not to say that shounen is my favorite genre though. Stories are so different even in the same genre that I couldn't really have a favorite genre.

But other than that, I absolutely love shounen. Stuff like Yu Yu Hakusho, Fullmetal Alchemist, Soul Eater, etc. are so fun. I don't care if it's kind of childish or cliche or whatever. I like to see the running around and fighting bad guys and stuff.

I'm in between "kinda" and "hate it till the end of time".

To me it's unappealing, boring, repetitive, and when it tries to be original it fails epicly (Death Note). It's pretty much my least favourite genre and I try to avoid it.

I do like shounen, but I won't go nuts over the most popular ones and think of them as the only ones that exist.
There are a lot of other shounen series out there and I look for them whenever so I'm not always stuck seeing the same cliche in the mainstream series.

You just need to branch out and you'll realize that shounen's actually pretty big and not all of them are *that * cliched (as are most genres).

Eh, I don't hate it. There are some good ones, but the truth, in the end, is that the target demographic for shounen is generally younger school-age children (boys, mainly, which goes without saying), which the author has to take into account when writing. It places a lot of limitations on shounen series.

ACTUALLY, I mostly find myself disliking a lot of shounen just for the tried-and-true cardboard-cutout plotlines that the less-imaginative writers (most of them) gravitate toward. I'm not bashing any series in particular, considering that I've found excellent things even in series that I don't particularly like—fill in the name of any mainstream shounen—but there are so many things that just make me shake my head.

Volume-consuming fights, anyone? Moralizing monologues?

Failures and subsequent training/power-ups? How very much they all just want to protect their friends and family?

That said, there are many amazing ones. I usually prefer series that break out of the mold and try something entirely new. I love genre(demographic)-defying series that make readers sit back and go wow. Some series categorized as "shounen" that defy boundaries to (usually) interesting and appealing results are Nabari no ou, Pandora Hearts, and Chrono Crusade.

nope, i don hate shounen....i like most of the shounen for eg:
bleach -i like the character and connection between character, even though there are kinda of repetitive
hunterxhunter - i like the story, kinda different
beelzebub - the hero not like typical hero who goes around want to save every1 and the baby is really cute

there are shounen that i hate shounen that has repetitive plot and annoying character like naruto and inuyasha

Why would I hate shounen? There is no demographic I dislike (there are genres I won't touch, though).

Every one of the 4 main demographics have turned up really good manga. People think that 'shounen' means Naruto and Bleach; but that's just not true...there are plenty of good shounen out there.

There are little-known manga like Shiki, Vampire Juujikai, Shoukoku no Altair and Kagerou Nostalgia that I enjoy very much.
And more well-known ones such as Yotsubato!, Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles, Fullmetal Alchemist, Hunter x Hunter and Get Backers are pretty good too.

I'm okay with shounen, I just can't stand the series that have harem and ecchi. :/

they're the second kind of manga that i read (the first is doraemon)

and i still prefer shounen far, far better than shoujo

I like many shounen manga, but, I kinda hate modern shounen manga which primarily contain repetitive and predictable plots...
I prefer seinen manga with romance and comedy - I like manga which makes me think about them.
I guess it depends on age, personal preference and your mood.

i hate shounen that is like
To Love-Ru

i think its more a matter of me being to old to enjoy it than it being bad
but omg that is one childish piece of shit manga that only horney 12yo boys would like

the artist knows exactly how to draw to make my pants hurt
and he knows it
and keeps on throwing sexual scenes at us on every page
its really garbage
you do not really care for the characters
you only want to see them in more strange situations

...manga like that should just go away and leave my jump alone

I don't hate it but I don't love it either. I wouldn't even say I like it (though I also wouldn't say I like shoujo). There are some good shounen titles, there are some bad ones. No reason to hate all of them.

hating shounen is pretty ridiculous if you ask me 😔
i just dont like some shounen manga that trails off the plot and into a completely different manga. like from school life to a battle manga midway.
