Pretty self explanatory, I'm looking for a horror vampire manga. Bonus for shojo leanings, although promary focus is horror. If there are a lot (this is not my usual genre), a short list of your favorites would be much obliged.

define scary...
scary, to the people in the manga
scary, to the reader
i know only 1 manga where vampires are "scary", and its more of a oneshot "Vampire Fantasy" and personally i didnt like it much.
honestly there arent many vampires in manga because its more of a western thing, and when they are in manga, its almost never as the bad/scary thing, is usually more of human approach, and considering the legends that vampires surpass human inelegance, and such, i believe the approach is better than flat out always evil.
that said, vampires as the evil is mostly going to be kids manga, or shoujo that mostly never pan out... OOO JOJO bazaar adventure, the first manga, the second, and i believe either the 3rd or 4th manga feature vampires as evil, or vampire like creatures. but thats not really horror, its shonen, HOWEVER death in those mangas isn't reversible and is taken seriously, at least as far as read.

List of series with Vampire/s category+Horror genre
List of series with Vampire/s category+Horror & Shoujo genres
(You can generate such lists yourself with the advanced search by genre).
I'm partial to The Laughing Vampire as far as vampire series are concerned.

I knew about the advanced search, but I never tried tagging by category. Thanks for that tip.

I really like Kuro Bara Alice, but it's more creepy than horrific (in my opinion)... I suggest After School Nightmare, but there are no vampires in that one... it's by the same mangaka.
