Hi there,

I'm not sure if i've ever encountered a manga where there's survival experts involved in the plot.

I do not mind if they're military based or hobby based or an expert that get's thrown into a nasty situation. However, please no ridiculous mangas about kids doing the most miraculous shit ever. I'd really like it if the manga has a mature feeling to it.

Personally, it took me atleast 2-3 volumes before I'm hooked to the manga. There will be more survival experts around vol 8 onwards..they were even trained eversince they were kids.


Hyouryuu Kyoushitsu and Battle royale are my personal favourites when it comes to survivalist mangas.

its kiddies who get thrown in some really shitty mess.. but not only kiddies... you also see them as teenagers and as adults... its hard to explain... but a friend of mine also loved this one

I wonder if "Until Death Do Us Part" would fit what you're looking for? Not so much in the survival expert aspect but in the military expert part. It's an excellent manga. The protagonist is a blind swordsman who kicks ass and there are lots of other characters who are excellent fighters, military or otherwise. The protagonist has to face more and more difficult opponents who are after the girl he is protecting because she can see the future. So, lots of fighting for their lives, etc. and facing incredible odds. At any rate, I recommend it.
