Has a good chance of being wonderful

This mangaka brought us what I consider the best slice of life manga ever, "Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou", which routinely made me feel joyful while reading it.

Ashinano has multiple gifts and skills, and the most amazing one of all is the ability to suggest the presence of transcendent mystery behind everyday places and experiences--and actually make the reader feel that it really may be there.

The world of today has come so far toward rationality, profit-driven hyperactivity, and global uniformity of social arrangements that raising the possibility that mystery of a non-standard sort is hiding just around the corner is now exceedingly hard. But always in centuries past the spiritual realm was felt to be near, and I think we humans have a deep inbuilt need to believe that it is.

If this manga, now at chapter 3, bears out the promise of the chapters I've read so far, it might again pull off the trick that "YKK" did, and again make it possible for us to suspend our automatic disbelief and enjoy another quietly magical show.

I can't believe it, I've been waiting for a new series from Ashinano Hitoshi-sensei since forever!
This first chapter was quite lovely. Short, but that scene filled my heart with excitement and reminded me of the fogs in YKK.
The art is beautiful and well fitting, of course.

Can't wait for more!
