Note: To the other reviewer (plaiin), this is a Chinese comic. The author is talking about Chinese society, not South Korean.
Second season isn't fully translated so I'm only talking about The 1st season. The story got melodramatic af towards the end. The protagonist was not a particularly good person so it was so strange how the male leads kept going on about how she's so kind. She's really not. The MC was almost as bad as the shallow people she hated. She did enough terrible things that it got pretty difficult to feel sympathetic towards her. The side characters were cartoonishly villainous. People in the story thought about looks and only looks in the unrealistic way that people in shoujo manga think about romance and only romance.
Oh and every main character is an orphan for some effing reason.

Unique josei story with death involved

Definitely one of its kind, I've yet to come across anything similar to this. It's about an office worker in the fashion industry who works incredibly hard, but due to her unattractive looks, can't advance in life or in her career. She comes across this app that promises to turn her into a beautiful woman, and voila, it does! However her newfound beauty comes at a heavy price by indirectly harming another person, and she needs to accomplish tasks within a set time limit to maintain her appearance. She is forced to face her own morality with each task and decide whether it's worth sacrificing others for her own gain.
If you've been a huge fan of other "survival games" with death at stake, and you've been desperately waiting for a female protagonist of these "games" check this out. It's a somewhat realistic webtoon that deals with the selfishness of humankind, the shallowness of society (particularly South Korean), and gray morality where the main character can be just as cruel as her enemies. It's a josei take on death games so it has an office drama/setting, but with high stakes where you become more corrupted the more you play.
While it's not perfect, it definitely introduces interesting and new ideas that haven't been used together in comics before.

Good premise, not so great execution

I feel like examining the “beauty bias” in society is a really good idea. Lookism is an amazing series that does much the same. The problem is that the characters in this series seem kind of poorly done and don’t really have any layers to them. Also the plot towards the end of season one went downhill imo.
Underrated?

The first season got repetitive and I find none of the characters likeable except for the one guy, but I'm sure that's the point of the story. All the characters have their own agenda and I really enjoyed following along. The second season has a even seemingly worst protagonist, which I am THERE FOR. It's like the kind of disgusting enthralment you get from reality TV. What a great series.
It was enjoyable, but it left me with a lot of questions.

I liked the first season, it wasn’t perfect but it was decent and it made me curious so I would have probably given it a 7 if the 2nd season didnt exist. The characters in this webcomic seemed very shallow and unrealistic though. I know shallow people exist but the execution felt very artificial.
As for the second season, things are very confusing. A lot of new characters are introduced with each their own motivation for a goal, but we don’t get to know why they are working so hard for it.
The second season also seemed a bit ecchi-ish, for example certain way the characters are drawn when they are attacked etc. It’s not a flaw but in this specific story it felt so awkward.
The 2nd season ending was very unfullfilling as there were a lot of matters that were not handled and you’re left with a lot of questions. It felt like it just randomly ended? I was so surprised to see that there is no 3rd season.
Okay now i’ll be a bit more specific by using the spoilering function:

I don’t understand why the author pushed all the backstory scenes of Chen & Yong Ri at the end of the season, without doing some sort of foreshadowing beforehand. The first season was still good in my opinion but because of that the ending felt somewhat unsatisfying.

As for the second season:
The ginger chick and the silver haired guy who tried to catch Yong ri; whenever they had a scene together, the girl was naked and it felt very misplaced, I didn’t know what to make of those scenes.
The second season started off with a very serious and heavy mood but their scenes weren’t like that. I still don’t know what purpose those characters served.

A cool idea that leads to fun drama. Some genuine horror too. However the ending is so messy with new reveals and one guy suddenly becoming superhuman and leaves a bad taste.
Bad rip-off of DICE

DICE isn't even a good story in the first place, but at least it had incredible art. This series... well, this series has neither the aesthetics nor the plot down. Plus, the MC is an irredeemable piece of sht. She looks down on those around her while she willingly does so much worse. Sure, this may be realistic, but who wants to read about someone like that?
Furthermore, her concerns about her appearance can be addressed with makeup, yet she resorts to a cruel magical game... Her personality is clearly hopeless.
