There were entire chapters where I was like "KICK HIM IN THE @#$^$!" (Mostly near the end, I might add). Sadly (lol), this wasn't really that type of manga. XD

The mangaka is absolutely fantastic at drawing and placing hugs in Marmalade Boy. Honestly, each of the hugs in this thing were so full of emotion.

I didn't really like the final plot twist, but it wasn't two elongated that it bothered me. The manga probably would have gotten a 10 rating from me if it hadn't been there though. :/ (They did stick another fantastic hug at the end of it though, so I forgive them. )

Anyways, I highly recommend this. It's very cute!

Aside from their parents decision in the beginning, this manga can be considered slice of life
The romance is sweet and nicely done even if it's predictable (kinda).
Overall a bit clichee but I liked it and it's not overly dramatic.
Spiced with some comedy that doesnt interfere with the romance and the dramatic parts and I gave it an 8/10.
(It was one of the manga that got me into reading manga in the first place, wonder what rating I would give if I had read it now... Guess I'm kinda prejudiced here.)

But I love it anyway. xDD. It's a really good read, besides. It's funny and cute. I would read it just because how cute it is (makes me blush) and because I love Yoshizumi-sensei's art. From start to now.

I loved it. when i first read it i kept calling it a soap opera in manga form because the relationships are always changing with some plot twist. And the parents were just insain! this is what keeps it so awesome. I know reading it I would always make fun of it but that was only because I loved it so much. That and it was funny to begin with. Cute story, good ending. Love! Love! Love it!!

Thought it was a good series but felt the ending was meh. Not surprising because the manga-ka changed her mind about the main characters not being related after all when it was clearly pointing in the story that they were. The manga-ka commented in the extras that she felt it would have been a sad ending so lame. Overall good series just a dissapointing ending.

Come on. Her father and mother and his father and mother swap partners and they all move into one house. Srsly, wth. Too weird. Too confusing. Barely any character development. I hate his personality. She's your typical shoujo idiot.

Anyways, I'm glad I remembered to finish this series, since my library didn't have the rest of the manga volumes. >>; I say it was WORTH the read. VERYVERYVERY worth it.

For me, the couples were really easy to figure out, but I think it's just me, since I read too much romance. >> Analyzing who gets with who is my specialty literally, anyways. Miki was a bit annoying when she didn't know who she wanted and when she acts stupid, but DON'T LET THAT GET TO YOU! She makes up for it soon afterward! I liked the development of this novel. ^___^ Lots of sweet moments, but even though there was pretty much only one devastating situation, that impacted the story and I'm sure other readers, SO MUCH.

I'm glad that the mangaka went with the ending rather than her other one (she explains it in the bonus chapter at the end). For sure, if she went with the other ending, I would have had to write an ending for myself. That was a horrible alternative ending. -shudders- It's good that she realized it would have been an empty choice. ^_________^

It's a great/amazing/excellent/sweet/loving/heartbreaking manga. Sit down and read it. You'll fall in love.

The story isn't very exciting....the romance is mild taste but when they break...it got me crying....the pain of it.......I feel bad for them.........it will better if there's a little smut scene to spice it up........oh well..........
the anime is too old.....i can't bring myself to watch it.......
but i will still recommand this love story though........

It sort've killed me to think that the two main protagonists were suffering so much.. I really wanted to creep up to the parents' rooms and scare them sooo bad. Maybe I'm just cooped up too much in my house, or I have good judgment. ehehehe!
Anyways... a very enjoyable read, it sort've had a finality to it at the end of many chapters, which made me sort've nervous, but overall a sweet, and amusing read.

an extraordinary series. i never expected to like it so much
entertaining plot, to-dye-for drawings, beatiful love, touching drama, great comedy, it has everything it's a clasical shojo which i recomend to everyone
