this manga by Kawashita Mizuki-sensei is actually good
but maybe the only reason why the fans not gave it many votes because the age gap between the main character and the main heroin...
but i still think that this manga is really good, and really look forward for the new series by Kawashita-sensei

Needs Closure...

In truth, I don't feel that this series could of lasted much longer. It had reached a pretty good point to finish things off, but the way the ending was carried out is what makes me a little sad. The 13 and 17 year old difference isn't as big as the story made it to be. It's like a Senior dating a Freshmen, but Kouta still being in Middle School makes a huge difference in my opinion.

Now for the spoiler-ish part to kind of vent what I feel should of happened...

Spoiler (highlight to view)
One of the biggest morals of the story was that a "man doesn't run away." Although Kouta put up a fight, he still got back on the train (although this time he was shoved on). I guess I understand that Natsuki wants Kouta to spend time with his father, since it's an experience she didn't get to experience during her childhood, but I guess I just feel that love should hold no boundaries.

So I guess what I'm trying to say is that the ending is still good, it just needs an epilogue to wrap things up. What happens when Kouta and Natsuki meet when Kouta is older? Does she have a boyfriend? Does he have a girlfriend? Have they forgotten each other? I think just seeing them get together one final time would be all the fans need to subside over it.

I understand that this series was discontinued, so one more chapter/epilogue isn't even possible...but I feel that this story could be saved by it.

Anyways, Anedoki is a great series. Just needs more closure on the ending.

Oh, and I'm quite surprised that this manga was by Kawashita Mizuki. I really liked her work in Lilim Kiss, so I guess it isn't much of a surprise that I like this series as well!

mediocre

I found this to be a fairly mediocre harem manga. The story is loaded with cliches (weak but kind-hearted main character, rescuing girl from bad guys, etc.) and nothing really stood out from other series. Everything just seemed forced, like how the guy just let a girl live there without much resistance. There's also a great deal of inconsistency in the character behavior and pacing of the story.

Overall, I would recommend that you skip this manga, because there's nothing memorable here.

Mizuki Kawashita Sensei is the best on Romance and Art

I just hope to see her next work soon. I'am amazed by how people are attracted to her work!
I'am a big fan and i don't miss a chance to get the manga when available in my country.
The scan are great for the color page but having both is really great!
Please support Kawashita Mizuki Sensei too!
The ending could not have been better (he is four year younger than Natsuki, he has to grown up isn't it?)
Anyway Domo Arigato for this marvellous work Kawashita Sensei!

if continued i wonder...

y'know the ending is somewhat not a full stop... which mean if the author want to continue this it would be very easy for her... and it'll be great if she level it up a bit... make the story continue after a few years, from boy to teenage... make the story more psychological, from shounen to seinen... focus more on their love life, from school life to slice of life... but still an ecchi, romance, comedy manga. i just hope the author didn't give up yet, cus the way i see it, the author made the ending like that for a reason. and i do hope to see a continuation of this story
i'm a writer wannabe, so i kind of see it this way... is that weird?

A good read

Good art, plot, characters, but a bit cliche if anything. I understand the end was sudden because it was canceled, but the author did great work on such short notice. Overall, it had it's sad and funny moments, which is more than what I expect when I read an ecchi comedy.

*EDIT* The last chapter, "26.5" is just a 3 page "And then!" kind of thing. It doesn't really add on to the work.

good but.....

first, the start of the story was a little bit good, the only thing that affected the story overall was the connection and relationship of the two main characters. Imagine a boy (not yet in his teens) and a girl going out.. better if it's the other way around but that's already a common story... This was a unique one, but the story lacks coherance to the charaters and to its overall settings.. But still, the mangaka can try to take another shot. the golden glory of Ichigo 100% can be repeated again...

It's too bad this series ended.. it was one of the few I didn't mind waiting for each week. I guess the mangaka ended it the best way she could... it would have been worth continuing, in my opinion.
Spoiler (highlight to view)
But, I guess this is the way it would have turned out in reality too, considering the age difference between Kou and Natsuki... just a phase where he liked this older girl who took care of him.
Simply put, a childhood experience.

Thus my rating stands smile Enjoy it!

Who did NOT see this coming?

Well, so, yeah, the series was canceled in Shueisha and the mangaka abruptly ended the story. I'm going to miss the echhi factor here but not the story/characters.

Come to think of it, Aoki from Bakuman had similar problems as a female mangaka in WSJ. LOL!

Started out good, but..

This story started out pretty nicely but, as I found w/ most of this mangaka's work, it started to lose focus. I feel that she rushed the story a little bit.The relationship w/ Kouta and his original love interest moved way too fast and somehow ended up getting reversed. As of chapter 21, it already feels like this manga has gone on forever, has run its course, and is just pulling random episodic story lines from nowhere.
