Haru visits Canada to spend the summer holidays in the woodland house of his strict, strong-willed mother, Haruko. There, she burdens him with the responsibility of caring for his younger adoptive brother - a wild and unruly little boy named Ren who trusts no-one and prefers to wander in the woods with Haruko's dogs rather than associate other people. IN LOVE with this manga. I normally like to read smutty adult stories, but this is super moving and really hits home. It deals with a lot of loneliness issues. The way that the two main characters' relationship develops is SOOOO sweet and adorable. I love Haru's jealousy and extreme brother complex. ;__; And Ren is such a considerate sweetheart. They mostly just kiss, but the way they start moving further works so well with the relationship they have. Everything is so perfect in my opinion. I'm excited to read the next chapter because I'm never disappointed with anything in the plot. *__*

This story's greatest strength is its cast of easily likeable, fleshed out characters, from the protagonists down to the tertiary characters. The characters drives the story so entertainingly you wouldn't want to miss a word.
The manga is self-aware of its issues with two people falling in love too soon and not one is swept under the rug, just continually brought to the fore (with a vengeance!).
Great art, solid pacing, and wonderful chemistry between all characters.

I like that the underage relationship gets repeatedly called out by the people around Ren and Haru, which makes for a fantastic running gag that I don't think I'd get tired soon as I, a non-shota reader, would've had the same reaction as everyone around them did. I still gasp every time they kiss. O_o

i was also worried at first with the age gap... but i loved that first sensei estructured a deep story between the characters and then broke it, and then conected it again. i couldn't believe it i suffered with Ren and Haru, it was beautiful. And omg the kisses...sweet and full of love.
I have to thank Monstabot who is the editor of the 4 volumes in english i read (if not the 4 probably the last 2) and i'm kind of frustrated that there's no place to send her a direct thanks... if anyone is stuck at volume 2 go here: http://view.thespectrum.net/series/super-lovers.html?ch=Volume+02&page=1 4 volumes!

And boy am I glad I did. From it's first few releases, I couldn't help but notice that the series had been given a rather high rating. At first, I thought, "The hell? It can't possibly be that great, but 3 volumes in, and I'm seriously hungry for more. I seriously regret not learning Japanese at an earlier age, cause I know there are raw scans out there somewhere.
Anyways, on with the good and-oh wait, there is no bad. Haha, but seriously, I'm not joking.
Art: I read sensei's other work, Komatta I think? Loved it, but catching up and waiting for newer scans to be released seriously wore me out. Her art is without a doubt, lovely. And just when I think her characters sometimes come off as a bit expressionless, she proves me wrong when the emotion is clearly shown on their face. Very pretty and easy on the eyes with fine lines and details. I like her style.
Story: Honestly, the summary didn't pull me in at the beginning. Don't let that fool you as the story so far is amazing, along with somewhat believable interactions. It's sad, it's sweet, funny, and at rare times, quite sexy, which blew me away due to Miyuki-sensei's very soft, and almost non-existent sexual scenes.
Characters: Haru is seriously the type of big brother that I would want, seeing as how he's so affectionate with his younger brothers, because that's totally my thing as well. But about Haru and his whole affectionate kissing thing. This series contains little to almost no sexual scenes (sort of), but after reading about through 10 chapters containing scenes of Haru kissing Ren, I have to admit: I was seriously turned on. I've read plenty of hardcore yaoi, but I honestly have never found myself flushing over a kiss. I'm not sure if it's due to their expressions, or the intensive manner in which Haru goes about while kissing Ren, but whatever it is, I REALLY hope to see more than that. As for Ren, he himself is too cute for words, and Shima and Aki as well (yay, twins!). Haruko-san is probably my favorite though. Gotta love them strong-willed women.
Overall: I REALLY, REALLY love this series. Despite the shotacon element, it is done rather tastefully, unlike the shota/loli raping stuff going on in other stories. So, if you are a person who dislikes yaoi/shotacon, please do give this manga a try, as it may change your view on the subject matter more than you'd think.

I am not into yaoi, nor shonen-ai. I tend to avoid them like the plague. But I thought I shouldn't be too close-minded, so I tried the one with the best reviews (obviously this one) and it is really very good. I don't mind the scenes that are a little "hot", and the story is reaaaally nice . So even if BL is not your thing, give this one a chance, and just see if it completely turns you off or not.
I think you would not regret it.

Even though until vol 2 it's been only kissing scene, but at vol 3, you'd get more upgrade in the relationship between Haru and Ren, not much but still some progress... just telling, though.
Usually I avoid Shota-con. and honestly, first time I knew this manga, I thought this wasn't one. Because this Abe-sensei's work, I ended up reading, and later found out that this manga's sort of shota... but never mind. The artwork, as usual and as expected from our great Abe-sensei, is unquestionably very-well-drew. The story progress, so far it's good.
I'm so excited for the upcoming chapters! What'll happen next in their oh-so-cute relationship?? XD

Believe me you won't be troubled with the shota tendency. Instead, it's really...... sweet that my neck hurts. And the art, man, it's not regular BL art. The detailness reminds me of Inariya Fusanosuke, Watase Yuu's Sakura Gari or Nitta Youka. The slight pervertness that creeps into the originally sweet and innocent love gives me somekind of guilty pleasure, but not enough to make me feel like a criminal.
(But then again I don't mind feeling like a criminal for reading shota, so... yeah.....)

I was a bit hesitant about the age difference at first, but as others have said, the story is really genuine and sweet. Unlike other BL stories with age differences, its not a creepy prey-predator relationship but rather Ren and Haru seem to inevitably gravitate to each other, and the development of their love is a very natural one. The other characters are also really likable and make the story a fun and heartwarming one to read Don't let the title and cover mislead you, its definitely got more depth than what the cover looks like lol.
