Weak start, but it improves.

Unlike Korean webtoons, multi-volume D&D style BL fantasy stories with a plot that goes beyond hooking up are annoyingly rare. Reminds me a bit of Crimson Spell & Seimaden.

I did appreciate the fighting scenes managing to last most of a chapter instead of being rushed in just a few pages.

I think one of the biggest writing flaws is keeping everything mysterious in the first half of volume 1 instead of digging straight into the strengths, weaknesses, ambitions, & backstories of the characters. Once those are finally tucked into, you finally start to feel for the characters & an actual plot beyond "dragon boy has a crush on unicorn man" reveals itself. By volune 3, the relationship is the least intetesting thing about the story.

The begining feels like you walked into the middle of something already happening. The pacing was terrible. Uru's "love" for Ark was as shallow as an egg pan, but if you can just suffer through the first half of volume 1, the rest of the ride is smooth.

*Uranborg: A seme-like shorty teen humanoid dragon devoid of much personality, but capable of summoning personalities of dead relatives into himself like a Spiritualist Medium that calls on spirits during a seance. Forvthe first volume & a half, he's just a simp.

*Archangel: A bishounen paladin who was beaten by his mother & sold as a child prostitute before becoming a paladin. Hates skinship, has trust & abandonment issues due to his cursed upbringing.

*Claudia: A princess with no self esteem about her physical appearance who chose a life of adventuring over arranged marriage. Despite that, she is very much in the market for a boyfriend.

*Douma: The heart & moral support of the team. The most likable male character despite being the second least developed.

*Geiss: Claudia's guardian. Near useless in combat, excells at debating & arguing.

*Cepheid: Ancestor of Uru who can be summoned into his body, rather like Shinou from Kyou Kara Maou & Atem from Yugioh. His face bears a resemblance to Prince Val from Crimson Spell with Twin Signal hair.

Dantalion: Half Elf, enemy who wants to end the rinse-&-repeat reincarnation of the gods of the human & beast worlds. He is not nessisarily evil, as he wants to alleviate Ark from suffering a similar fate to his own.

I can't even remember the last time I've encountered such a badly written BL manga - besides the pwp titles, but those are obviously not meant for reading them for the story.

The characters are sooooo bland and one-dimensional, it hurts. The leads had zero chemistry together, the feelings between them was so forced and not genuine. Some of the minor supportive characters were more interesting than the main leads, and even those seemed to have zero depth.

The story? Well, the story is just a huge, nonsensical mess, which was hard to follow. Certain elements of the story were repeated so many times throughout the entire manga, that by the end, I just cringed whenever I saw he sentences 'I'll protect you'/'I love you'. Both of them lost any of their meaning, because the main leads were constantly throwing them onto each other. I'm not even kidding, on almost every other page, there was an Iloveyou, or an Iwillprotectyou.

The dialogues were most of the time ridiculously stupid, unnecessarily long and again: HIGHLY repetitive.
All in all, it was boring as hell. I got what the authors probably wanted to convey, but they failed miserably.

The art itself was pretty, but the panels were most of the times so overcrowded with details, that my eyes hurt and
it made it hard to understand what's happening.

Overall, I'd like to get back the 2 hours of my life I wasted reading this BS.

Ask too much and you'll get nothing

I thought the characters were not very well developed at the start, especially with the romance. It felt too rushed and shallow, as a result I could not sympathize with the characters. But although it never got to the point where I'd be crying over every little thing, it did get better as the story continues. Never the less the characters are very much, beauties, and one would be able to fall head over heels for, but they feel a bit cheaply made. The plot in later volumes are good, but the love with the two protagonists, especially in first 2/3 volumes absolutely lacked emotion. But beauty is a sin... everything else can be ignored in front of a fangirl's eyes. Now, would you care if a candy is bad for you when you eat it? No, you gobble it down. The plot wasn't half bad either, the only thing would be the romance part...

This series is based off of the novel series of the same name. It's a pretty decent remake, everything considered. The story really isn't that convoluted or hard to understand... it does start out in a sort of cliche'd way, but the depth of the plot and characters is slowly drawn out as the series progresses.

The characters all do some growing as the chapters go on, so you have to stick with it to really begin to truly understand them (no duh.) and their pasts. This isn't anything new. Many manga start out slowly with the characters seeming undeveloped, but then they grow out and become very dimensional.

I particularly appreciate the past dragon king/queen and the villain... who is really mysterious. You can guess at the level of his personal relations to certain characters, but it's hard to figure him out. It's not at all predictable and I like that. The action sequences are awesome too, and the art is pretty nice.

This series has a lot of potential. The art is great and the story line is unique. The first few chapters seem a little crowded yes, but with only 3 chapters translated there's plenty of time to develop the characters. So far it seems like it's headed in the right direction. I can't wait for more to by scanlated!

Nice art, but everything is over-crowded to the point where it's hard to understand what's going on...
The main characters are really flat, and don't really have too much of a personality. And they are annoying...

I don't get the plot... It seems like a part from some game, where people radnomaly meet and go "to save the world"...
I can't understand the names...
The characters are also cliched...
"sigh"...

I don't see a reason to continue reading this. (there is not even decent shounen-ai) just declareations of love (stupid onces at it...)

I'm deeply disapointed of this series.
