Excellent Manhwa

Obviously if you managed to make it onto this page, you were probably either recommended this by an acquaintance or you searched the tags and came up with this.

Note that this is in fact a 'real' incest manga- the two are not half-siblings or anything of the sort. They are blood twins, which I find refreshing more than disgusting, personally. I hate it when mangaka try to get around the taboo subject of incest by saying, "Oh, but they aren't REALLY brother and sister!"

The story, without going into too much detail, begins with a scene that most of us accept without question- the boy is normal and looking for love, while his sister is clingy and manipulative. Over time, Se-Joon's girlfriend is introduced, along with a 'childhood friend' character who begins to try to date Se-Wa after she huffily begins to try to make Se-Joon jealous. Over time, the picture we once took for granted is slowly twisted and inverted until barely recognizable. This manhwa is definitely not straightforward, but it pictures the relationships between the twins and their prospective lovers [as what I would imagine would be] fairly realistic, given the characters.

If you are uptight and immediately turned-off by the tags and this description, then by all means read a different shoujo series or something. This definitely isn't for everyone.

the manwha was really beatuiful. the art, the characters, the story, they completly captured me. But i wouldn´t recommend this manga to anyone. I regreted that i read it, because i´m now between love and hate for this manwha. It´s great to read for pro-readers, but newbies will most likely be scared away.

Tragic and psychological with incest

If you love love LOOOOOVE tragedy and inner psychotic protagonists, and you don't mind incest, this is something you must BARE TO THE END for NO MATTER WHAT. Tragedy and lunatics aren't even my forte, especially tragedy (love happy stories more), but I still received a strong hit to the heart with this one, a sign that this is a GOOD READ.

It was hard to bear at first because everyone just didn't know what they were doing, presenting the subjects of incest and insanity like two raw fish (it was so blunt, it was annoying). but I trust i was going to get something good at the end, and i did. (good but not necessarily happy lol)

HOWEVER, the main twist: WAY too subtle, but that's more of my opinion.
Spoiler (highlight to view)
It felt like the author was saying "wups, it was all a conspiracy" blaming this guy who suddenly had a major transformation in incentive like 3 chapters back the twist started. Honestly, the start of the twist felt so much like she came up with it on the spot, because the transition was HORRIBLE. i won't say i hated the end it brought though because it was awesome, but the twist just wasn't placed as well as it could have, where i had to act stupid and ignore it to enjoy the ending.
loved the twist for Sung-chan though: perfect timing and spectacular irony.

All in all, give this a try, ESPECIALLY if you love tragic romances and people who go inner psychotic for love (which would mean great twists~ xD).

Incest sminchest!!

Okay so some incest manga completely bore me and or freak me out. However, the way the author wove the story it was as if it was completely natural for the twins to love each other. And the dark feel in the plot made it kind of like a thriller (a good one, not like 'Prom Night' LOL)
I read this in one whole sitting it was so damn good! I do admit, the ending was really sad, and it would have saved me a whole box of tissues if it didn't turn out the way it did.
But seriously? I've gotten fed up with all the typical shoujo-style happy endings. The end made it feel like a modern day 'Romeo and Juliet', except in my opinon, this was SOOOOO much better!

Very good reading. I did not expect to like it at first. I thought it was gonna be about a typical school-life and incest. But the story carries so much powerful feelings and the author has conquered it with a magical way. The artwork first of all-- It is like the title is supernatural, while it is not.

It is a very dark story, it shows you where obsession might leads. There are so many twists, until the very end. It is very worthy to read, as long as you do not mind incest.

well, since all earlier comments/spoilers have included some of what i wanted to say, i'll just add that the story left a great impression, making you think about why the ending had to be as it was.

although i was rooting for Gi-Hoon, i felt bad for Se-Joon. when his sister was obsessed with him, all he did was make her jealous; he didn't cherish the time when she was deeply in love with him. when he faced the fact that he loved her and nothing mattered, it was too late cause Se-wa already loved Gi-hoon. (when the twins ran away, Se-wa was quite bored with Se-Joon and eagerly wanted to return home).

If you are a fan of tragedy, READ THIS

The Elements of the story
This is the ultimate star crossed lovers story. Mix a boy with a mysterious past with one slightly crazy/very possessive twin, and a love that can never be, and you get a recipe for tragedy, a.k.a. Flowers of Evil. All tragedy fans must read this.

Dealing With Incest
If you can stand incest, that is. But before you immediately say "oh, incest is sickening, there's no way I can read this," let me tell you that the characters do not try to defend incest, but instead are pulled into this moral battle within themselves (especially the brother-the sister, I think, is less bothered by it. But then again, she seems to be less bothered by everything). The way they deal with their feelings for each other is very believable, and the mangaka certainly is not saying incest is a good thing. If anything, this story says just the opposite.

The Characters
The characters are all really interesting and believable.
Seh-Wa:
The slightly off-kilter sister. She's interesting to try to figure out. At first I found her to be annoying, but as the manga progressed I began to like her and understand her more and more.
Seh-Joon:
Seh-Wa's seemingly normal twin brother. He is a very likeable character, and you feel bad for him and how he has to deal with his sister's feelings. But as the series progresses, you also come to understand him more, and you realize he is much less two-dimensional than you originally thought. He undergoes some great character development.
The Supporting Characters:
Seh-Joon's girlfriend is one of the supporting characters. She is pretty much the same person the whole time, but she's not evil. She's just not as interesting. Also supporting, is the twins' childhood friend who becomes good friends with Seh-Wa. He has his own motivations and interesting past that play a part in this story, and he ends up being a lot more important to the plot than you originally thought.

The Plot
Another great aspect of this manga is that about half-way through, the plot seems to flip over and you find yourself forced to re-evaluate the entire situation. Once I got through the first several chapters (which were a little predictable), this story kept surprising me, and my opinions of the characters kept changing. Once you've started this manga, you will be compelled to keep reading.

The Ending
Also, when reading this, keep in mind how the very first chapter begins because it all ties back to that in the end (which I think is just beautiful storytelling).

Even without that, though, the end of the story was simply perfect. It could not have been better for this manga.

In Conclusion
So the storyline becomes interesting, there's some great character development, and of course the art is just beautiful. If you like tragedies, and can stomach incest, you must read this. If you can't, then avoid this story like the plague. Because if you read it, it will haunt you . . .

Wow.....This manhwa was surprisingly good, and the artwork was just beautiful. Yeah it's twisted, but it's intriguing, and so not predictable and unique. This really made you think, and expect your opinions of characters to change, like mine did. It is highly captivating and definitely one to leave a lasting impression.

Spoiler (highlight to view)
For those wondering about the phone message, I read it on some forum, but the phone message was a name "Sung-Chan-ee", basically showing how she was calling him the whole time.

Wow, I was really impressed by this particular manhwa. First, not only is the art gorgeous but I've also been a raving-yaoi girl lately, and needed something to pull me out of superficial plotlines. This was it. I absolutely adored this, right until the very end. And let me tell you, I finished this in one sitting. Although my back is now angry at me, I wouldn't have been able to stop! Beautiful character-development, AMAZING plot twists, the end was such a tear-jerker... This is the only comic that has been catergorized under, "Tragedy" that has honestly felt like a tragedy. Don't pass up this book, I don't care if you're not into dark theme's, or rotating normal viewing platform, or even incest. It's a great story, and will definitely leave you satisfied. I can't say this story left me wanting more, because I feel that it ended so perfectly. I want to read everything from this insightful woman, I've already read the released chapters of Savage Garden, which I also recommend!

I won't add any spoilers, I know you'll be tempted to read them. Let the plot unravel! Good reading.
