Description
From Yen Press:

Millennium Academy is a school where elite vampires are trained to maintain balance in a world where humans and vampires, who possess far greater physical strength than their human counterparts, coexist. And commuting to this school is Aldred, the most distinctly un-vampire-like vampire to be found in the entire institution. But when Al encounters Kei, a human transfer student to the school, their destinies become intertwined, and the fate of their world as they know it comes to lie in their hands!

eventhough this is only one volume, the mangaka succeed in getting us loving the characters and empathised with them. though she could extend and lengthened this manga to 100plus chapters, and i would love that, it is very commanding of her to create concise and meaningful story of sacrifice. the ending is quite vague, but i guess every one of us can dream about the ending we love the most.

A Heart-Throbbing Story

I'll start with this. I really love manga only for the plot and sometimes art. Not reason and so on. Anyway, I find this a very good plot, and I agree it's sometimes confusing, but the characters are very well planned out and most of the time I'm following along. I did want to see a sequel...and I wanted to see Kei's transformation even more. I guess him crying makes me sad too. I do want to know why Kei is in a wheel chair at the end, and some holes are left in the story, but just little ones that can be filledim easily if the author did. But I still really like the story, and the art is different than Black Butler, which I like.

It was and still is a perfect quick read that will leave you satisfied! To be honest, I didn't think it would make me happy cuz I wasn't expecting anything more than a high school vampire story but reading it changed my mind. It captivated me throughout the period I was reading and I'm a sucker for sweet friendship stories so not all will enjoy this as much as I did! The ending left me smiling and grinning like an idiot so without a doubt, I'll come back to read this again someday... Overall, I think everyone will enjoy it!

i read this during finals week, when i wanted a quick, action manga that wouldn't distract me too much. This was not it. The plot was alot darker than i thought,

it ended with the main character presumably dead, and the second main character in a wheelchair and blind, they also didn't save the world
and except for one stupid chapter, it managed to avoid most shounen stereotypes, i would recommend it

was the second shounen-ai(ish) manga I've read. Though you might not see it that way if you are not into that stuff.
characters - 9 (Not just the main ones but I)
art - 10 (rest is as good as the cover. It's Toboso Yana afterall)
Plot - 8
Development - 7.5
Ending - 10

I'd give it 8.5/9

It was OK, but the plot is pretty damn confusing! Maybe it was because I wasn't paying enough attention, but most of the time I was like : Uuuuuuuh... What is happening? And what are they talking about, again? O___o
So, I liked it, I got the OVERALL plot, but I'm still feeling as if I inadvertently skipped 8 crucial chapters...

The last couple of chapters weren't entirely satisfying, but I love this manga to death. smile Despite the length, you get a feel for the main characters (not so much the minors; I can barely remember their names!) All in all this was definitely a worthwhile read. smile

Better than I expected...

I started reading the manga thinking 'oh, another vampire story...' and while the vampire manga stories I've read break the mold of the cliché stupid vampire stories I wasn't expecting this in the least!

Plot- Being only a short work the plot was quite rushed, but it was still good. The whole idea behind the story is really awesome and it could have easily been expanded into this complex world. While the story made sense some things I felt could have been explained and expounded upon a little better.

Characters- The characters really make this story for me, they're all so endearing and I just can't help but love them all! Even the villains! They're great!

Art- The art was nice enough, not anything special but it wasn't bad.

Other- While I enjoyed the story as a whole I'm not quite satisfied by the ending, I didn't quite get what they were doing in the end... maybe I'm just being thick... Eh, ignore me, go and read this manga!

8/10 - Was good

A great one volume manga

Well, to start it off, I have to say agree that this manga is short. However, it is worth the read if anyone wants to just chill out for a while and read some "really good stuff". It might be kind of rushed but after reading the whole story line, I have to admit, it is one great manga. What was so freaking great about it?
THE ART. THE CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT. THE AUTHOR. THE PLOT (even though it was a bit of a cliche thing but the story line makes sense, 99.9% of the time.)

If there was a vampire manga that i couldn't push away it this.
I decided to read this on my sunday morning as soon as i woke up off a whim and fkuk i was laughing crying and smiling at the same time.

The manga has the most gorgeous artwork with that mix of violance that many vamp-mangas lack.
Al is hot and i think his dad is a babe too ;) hopefully genes will follow
><Kei is sooo cute! I sort of got the feeling that Kei and Al had something at the end and he stopped Al from going crazy while lying on the floor dying :(

However the ending is happy as its hinted that Al comes back from the vampire world a few years later.

Although the story is short, the character development was pretty good because without Al Kei seemed emotionless and waiting so earnestly for his return.
And Al, he loves his friends and his world and noes his role as the world protector that sacrifices must be made.
Instead of letting Kei a sthe holy spear to be the sacrifice, he went to the other world and dealt with it.aand Al returned when he controlled his craze and finished everything ;) ;)

suuuuuuuuccccchhhhhhhhh a good manga,, i fuckn love it
Everything is amazing,, wish they'd show Al at the end after returning but the suspense and obvious guess had a huge impact anyways xx
