Dude, i love this manga. I almost died laughing. And at the end, i did.

Its really cute, when she almost had a miscarriage, i cried, then it got all happy, then i cried again. This is a great manga, i'm going to recommend this to all my friends!

This is one of the best manga I've ever read. Its very true to life.
I do admit though that the characters on the cover don't look much like they do in the art. The cover almost makes the manga look sleezy. But its not, its a story about growing up.
Love it!

It was decent. The mangaka made the situation seem too "fun". I expected it to be a little more serious, but it was funny, which isn't a very bad thing, but it could have been better. The ending was very rushed it seems as well.

In the beginning, the notes warn us that this story deals with teenage pregnancy problems. I was hoping for a mature story about this, what I got was a wacky on-crack manga instead.

The two protagonists, a girl who thinks condoms are candy, and a guy who has no idea he's impregnating this girl every time he has sex with her. They are idiots, none of them had sex education at all, so when the girl took a pregnancy test because her friends made her do it, and it's positive, the guy freaks out. But of course, we're dealing with a happy on-crack manga here, so the guy goes all out and takes care of this 'test baby' someone left in their care to see if they could be parents.

The problem is, we're shown that he's exhausted caring for the baby, that the yelling is wearing him down. But everything is simply forgiven because the baby is 'adorable'. Yeah, that's a great reason to be teenage parents; because the baby is adorable.

Real issues such as working to pay for food, getting a place to live, having no free time - are really simply glossed over. They're mentioned, but they're never mentioned in that serious sense they should be mentioned. Abortion is mentioned as 'killing the baby' and 'scarring the girl' (great wording!), and of course, the two idiots think it's better to raise the baby than to abort it.

This manga is definitely not taking teenage pregnancy serious. I mean, what kind of role model is it to let two complete idiots take care of a baby? They almost killed the test baby twice because they had no clue on what to do. No, you should read this manga with only happy thoughts. Issues aren't dealt with, teenage pregnancy looks like something really cute, and idiots for parents are great!

Though I did like the two characters. They are fun and wacky, but I feel like they were put in the wrong story, wacky idiots troubled with teenage pregnancy really doesn't mesh well together. This is only a crack story that people should read when they want something funny, not something that takes things seriously.

Okay, i was a bit apprehensive bout reading this.. but the artwork looked fun and i thought no harm reading it..

i like the whole plot, all except the part where they were taking care of someone else's baby. that was seriously stupid. if it were real, the baby would have been dead. which aint funny.

but i like their spirit. they wanting to give birth to the baby even thugh they werent ready as parents. Its nice to see the struggles they have to go through at home, school and financial wise.

I like that Yuki doesnt want an abortion, that he didnt want to scar Shigeru or kill the baby.. that was... sobx sobx.. haha so hard to find that kind of man!!! hahaha

the humour is awesome. its damn funny, and the characters lovable..

i'd totally reccomend this with an open mind and the fact that its a manga and not real life and you shouldnt take it seriously.

People act like there can't be a satisfying middle between "childish" and "serious." Okay, the characters were seriously immature, but I felt true character growth as the story went on and even love. (they were just sex friends in the beginning, not in love with each other)

From the beginning one can tell they're moronic airheads, but as they move together through the pregnancy you can see they mature. They're still teenagers though and you can't so easily break out of old habits, but they really try their best at everything they do.

There are moments when you really pity them. When reality sets in and you realize "hey, they really do have it hard." It was seriously touching and sad, but of course it had it's goofy moments that most shoujos have.

Look past that and try to see the message the mangaka is trying to convey. She's desperately trying to keep things on a light shoujo-ish note while incorporating serious issues that teenagers will face with a pregnancy. It's a really pleasant balance.

I enjoyed it and I think people should stop being so harsh. If you're looking for a serious manga go read a josei and stay away from the shoujos. For everyone else give it a try and try to be open-minded about it.

When I first saw this I thought to myself, "prego teens, baby mama drama... pass". I could never in a million years imagine myself reading and enjoying a story such as this one. But I was wrong. Dead wrong. I don't know why, but I felt compelled to give it a shot and was instantly swept away by the charm of the characters. By the end I felt myself rideing along side them on their rollercoaster of struggles and i'm not the type to get worked up by the plot. Despite the serious nature of the subject matter, the author managed to keep it light and comical without misrepresenting the true nature of Teenage Pregnancies. A true achievement! Don't get me wrong, i know better than most (not from personal expierence but by close association) that being a teenage mother is not nearly as easy or fun as this manga makes it seem. It's tough and hard and you sacrifice alot but no matter how hard you try or how much you sacrifice you'll still feel it's not enough. But that's beside the point. The purpose of this story is not to warn you of the struggles you'll face if you become a teenage mom/ dad but to tell the story the author wanted to tell the way she wanted to tell it.
I don't think this story would have worked had the main characters not been such niave idiots (and, no, I'm not being harsh, they're dumb, unbelievably dumb, just read it). If it weren't for their unabashed stupidity, It would have been just another teen drama and I would have gotten frustrated and droped it after the first volume. It's because of their idiotic nature that I became so attached to them. And it's because of their nature that the plot managed to stay so hopeful and optimistic.

This is truely a must read!

P.S.- I never give 10's and even though this isn't the best or most moving manga I've ever read, I can't imagine giving it anything else smile

Truly this manga is freakishly funny.. But I have to admit I did relive a scary memory from reading this..

Kids don't be reckless with babies like what Yuki does.. (they will really die)..

I remember how scared I was when I dropped my baby sister down a flight of stairs.. Fortunately she was in a carriable crib and both the floor and stair was heavily carpeted so miraculously she emerged unscathed.. I think.. Until today I still goes erk.. when she got bad grade in tests.. Oh yeah, she grew up to be an energetic brat but otherwise healthy.

Oh yeah.. remember kids contraception aren't 100% safe. It's better to practice 2-3 methods at the same time so don't go around breeding like rabbits or like Yuki and Shigure.. Kids these days.. ^^;;

Flawed but worth reading

Starts out pretty strong with amusing comedy-drama about two very stupid teenagers having to deal with the consequences of their actions, continues fairly strong into the second volume with the necessity of dealing with the grandparents-to-be(which probably provides the best drama of the series), but peters out in the third volume with a school-related plot that doesn’t truly have much to do with the pregnancy at all.

Its conclusions are full of emotional platitudes rather than acknowledgment of real problems, especially in the third volume. Definitely fairly light fare rather than a serious look at teen pregnancy.

The characters are fairly fun to watch, though. It's nice to see some honestly stupid main characters.

The characters are soo stupid. "Rubber? What's that? Candy?" ^^;; Not really... They kind of remind me of 7-year-olds. Shigeru likens having sex with him like playing on a Playstation with him. XD
But it's just so funny and cute that even though the art is kind of weird and the main characters are utterly immature, I love it.
