Dumb!

Everything was good up until the last volume. The stupidity of main characters just HURS SO MUCH that I can't handle it. The ending is so dumb, that I would probably drop the manga if it wasn't the last volume...

It was alright, actually.

Until
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
she had the perfect opportunity to get herself out of a gunpoint situation AND SHE DIDN'T TAKE IT because she was afraid of shooting the gun T________________________T**** Just because she shoots doesn't mean she'll kill. At least keep shooting until all the bullets are used up. WTH?!?!

I'm sorry, this is just too stupid for me to take. Who in the world
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
gets their hands on a gun in a crucial situation and just gives it back to the person who threatened them at gunpoint earlier?

My suspension of disbelief has been shattered. What sympathy I had for the character to keep reading is... gone.

It's a shallow read; if you're looking for a fluffy feel-good Cinderella story though, this story was a decent read. The plot feels shoujo-esque in the character's maturity, and is labeled as josei simply because of the more mature elements.

A unique genre of Josei.

I don't ever write reviews but I must say I truly enjoy Fujita K's work.

I really enjoyed Silver in a way where no Shojo or Josei ever captivated me, and I can say the same for Gold.

I don't understand the negative reviews on his work but i can say i'm a huge fan of his works. I guess it's because his works have very dramatic stories and are smut filled *wink wink*. I also really enjoy his art work. His characters are slender with sharp features, which I appreciate.

I can't wait for more from Gold and Fujita K.

I'm generally not a hater, I'm receptive to all kinds of character personalities, but I must admit the female protagonist of Gold is really really annoying sometimes, with her all nosense actions. Anyway, it's a good manga despite that...

Really dumb protagonist

This wasn't a bad read but you just have to tolerate one of the dumbest protagonist that has ever been created. Bronte definately is a special kind of stupid. I agree with toffeefudge, this is not as good as Silver. She doesn't really have much character growth and isn't really someone interesting to read about either. But Mars West is somewhat interesting and the rivalry between him and Gus Brown has me hooked.

Ok, so I had great hopes about this title... but it is.... well... it's not even mediocre.... The idea has a lot of potential, but the story seems to go too fast (it seems nobody is thinking here before making a decision and most scenes left me with a sense of sth unfinished). The main heroine is plain stupid. Behaves like a really naive tween.... I wanted to read and wait for it to get better, but vol 3 made me decide to drop it. There are many better mangas. I liked the art, though. And the main antagonist - but still, she was quite predictable.. The introduction/first scene got me hooked - unfortunately, that did not last long. To sum up - a waste of time.

Ok, not as good as Silver

I had high hopes for this manga because I was literally addicted to Silver (couldn't get off my chair) but ended up not feeling as strongly about the characters and eventually getting bored and dropping it. Unlike the main character of Silver, who was naive but also smart, and showed great character growth, the main character of Gold was a little too straight-laced, meek, and somewhat un-interesting. The story, set in modern-day America rather than Victorian England, also lessens the strength of the plot somewhat. The page-turner of the story is the ex-wife antagonist who is deviously schematic and keeps throwing the unwary couple together (without her, you wonder if these two bores would even be together). When the sex scenes did show up, they did not disappoint, however.

Personally , i'm not into smut that much, but after reading it , i can't help but to love it . I love how the herorine;Bronte wanted to clarify that she is the one that the hero is finding . However having the same face as the hero's "wife" , the hero was having a great difficulty of having to believe her or not . After knowing the truth that she is the real one . Not the "wife" . They both fall in deep love . But that came the jealousy "wife" (same face as Bronte) . Getting ideas trying to break them apart .

That's all . I just love it . ♥

one thing i did not like in ch6 was bronte marrying the half brother and him raping her multiple times she's damn stupid and naive doesn't she learn anything from her previous encounters? and towards the end oh my freakin goodness Mischief had multiple opportunities to kill both bronte and mars it's amazing how easy is it to escape death
